Dear Starbury, hope you get a chance to read this. I’m Puerto Rican who grew up in Coney Island. You were my fav player growing up. I modeled my game after you and would go to Kaiser park almost every day and practice my game trying to be like you. You gave back to the hood and you were like our Robin Hood. Many of us loved that someone from our hood was able to go big. I was so emotionally invested when you was a NY knick. CI native playing for the knicks. As you said, God has a plan and its beyond our wisdom but sometimes looking back we understand. Thank you for the memories and instilling positive goals in my life. Instead of being in the streets and being another statistic, I was too busy playing ball trying to be like you. Thank you. I wish you well 🤲🏽

Feel like Starbury was blackballed by NBA. But maybe his destiny was to bring cultures together. How he has embraced other cultures shows he can be a bridge. He can show kids here that people around the world are not much different then they are. Much respect to Steph

Hey Melo & Mero, this is one of the best interviews I've seen ever! I'm from Harlem and I've followed Steph's career ever since high school and he has always been on another level. He is one of the greatest basketball players to ever come from our city. I always had mad love for his game and his swagger, but hearing him tell a portion of his story I have a greater appreciation of the man because he endured all the craziness that was thrown at him, overcame the adversity, became a better man who harbors no bitterness. That's what's up! And my man is giving God all the glory for his success and shouting out Jesus Christ I love it. Melo you and your co-host have a great podcast, keep up the good work. P.S. I also appreciate how you held it down MSG. I loved your game ever since you played at the Cuse. You're doing a great job with your son, I pray he continues to have success and make it to the league. 🙏 👏
