I like how in the stay alive animatic, lee and his mood is just switching from happy to scared to a n g r y in a matter of minutes, which is apparently very historically accurate, since he has been described as moody and choleric by multiple websites, pfft- also, apparently that scene where washington was yelling at him is also historically accurate; he apparently yelled, cursed, and berated lee in front of the whole army, and lafayette later on described it as "the best scolding i have ever seen" also, it is possible that lee had lost all hope in the revolution itself wayy before the battle of monmouth: after the british had captured him, and basically dragged him from widow white's to new york in his nightdress, he didnt really trust the revolution anymore- like, he fr thought that william howe was literally finna shoot him, and that washington wasnt doing enough to save him and then there was a whole 'nother deal with "Mr. Lee's plan" and all- but also like after some very intense arguing, washington arrested lee, and he was found guilty of misbehaviour before the enemy, shameful retreat, and disobediance to the commander-in-chief damn, i mean, i get that british people in red clothes are scary, but all those charges just because of that-
