Idk about game programming but I think the map is also the way it is because storage problems, android version and something about optimize the game, but hopelly this get better in WC5, even thought only middle and high gamma phones can only run WC5 and be a lot heavy

If you were to go from America to Europe in this game, you'd be going up. In real life, you'd be going down. So I just looked at a map and y'all are right. the continuous 48 ranges from 30 to 50 degrees up and Europe from 35 to 70. That said, why is Europe so big compared to other parts of the world, for example the island of Borneo. France is about as big as Borneo, but the map makes France look like a giant in comparison. Also, why isn't the pacific ocean half the world? I get that is would make traversing a fleet a pain, but if they just reused the waypoint feature in the EW series games and gave naval units significantly more movement, then it'd be fine. Speaking of movement, why are aircraft carriers so slow when IRL they's some of the fastest ships we can have? Destroyers were equipped post-war specifically to keep pace with them, and that's even with aircraft carriers not going as fast as they can. Also, why are battleships/carriers slower than transport ships? IRL they're SO much faster. Since this comment is getting log, I'll finish on these five thoughts: 1: the way aircraft is implemented in this game is ridiculous and unrealistic. Why do you have to pay the equivalent of hiring an entire division just to operate 1 fighter mission? Instead, they should make aircraft an actual unit type, comprised of fighters, bombers, attackers, etc. everything. Then, they should project a circle around them in all directions, which is their 'airspace,' then give them a power scale which slides down when farther from the center. A separate calculator will take in all of the air powers of opposing sides and make a map of places with/without air superiority, which will become a lens viewable to the gamer. This is where the main bonus of aircraft is about to come in: speed. Each air unit you buy should be able to hold multiple missions per round based on their speed stat and resources.* For example, you have a biplane air unit, it'll be capable of holding 2 missions for attack and 4 for defense. When someone attacks your units, a balance of the airspeed stat, the attack stat, the distance away stat, will all be combined into a calculation which either increases your counterattack/attack up to a significant amount if you have air superiority, or decrease their attack/counterattack up to a lesser significant amount if you don't. Then, with things like scout planes, you could give units a combat bonus for attacking units which have been scouted by scout planes that turn, and a much lower bonus for units which haven't moved which have been scouted the turn before. I'm going to cut out my suggestions to fix these things here on out because this comment is really getting too long. 2: The way generals have been implemented doesn't allow for strategic thinking, it's just about having the better general. 3: why are tank units stronger than infantry units when they have no infantry support? IRL, singular soldiers were able to subdue entire tanks if they came without infantry support. In this game, a player/ai should be punished for not having anymore infantry left/not equipping the tanks with infantry by even light infantry being able to crush super tanks. This comment is assuming the warfare model from EW7 can be applied to this game in coding and can be used for the next (if any) iteration of the WC series. If Easytech would stop encrypting their json files, we'd be able to know, but surely something as simple as a new mechanic is easily addable within a day's worth of work. IDK what type of game coders they have at easytech, maybe their running sims all day to make sure their game is fast enough to be runnable by any processor, but development sure does take a long time considering it's a mobile game and it even comes with numerous typos. 4: Why are there no supplies in this game? Supply is literally the way you win wars in real life, so not even trying to add a supply element is really baffling. 5: In general, why are tank units by far an away the most cost efficient, best units? IRL, "basic" infantry is the most cost effective, mechanized infantry is the fasted, special ops. are probably the strongest, artillery are the best at suppressing and destroying large condensed masses of troops, 'battalion artillery' (as it's called in this game) is made specifically to halt tank advancements, and tanks are only really good for breaking through, why aircraft are uber fast, and paratroopers are hard to use right because they usually like dying and when they die it's expensive. I thought of ways to incorporate all of this into the game as well, but alas, the comment is too big. I've played this game for thousands of hours, and I don't know why. Consider how much I've played in these analyses on gameplay features. TL;DR: idk why you'd read all of the above but congrats! Essentially I was just being salty and naming off problems with the games and naming a few of their solutions, one of them in detail.

The carton Ian islands have been taken over by rising sea levels and the rest of it has been taken by Cuba meanwhile the Pyrenees suddenly had a landslide so large that it destroyed all the mountains and sunk the Italian peninsula and due to the tectonic plates converging everywhere somehow everything is much closer together

I think this is partially caused because the map isn't big enough to fit in so many tiles to make it more accurate, Europe is also enlarged already to fit in more tiles and they wanted to simplify it more, thus this problem will be less serious in larger maps like in the European war 4
