Julley Ladakh! - Magnetic Hill and Road to Lamayuru | aritragraphy

The Leh Magnetic Hill is located on the Leh-Kargil national highway, about 30 km from Leh. The local administration has marked the spot by putting up a billboard near the hill.
It have vast area of plain lands with hills on the horizon. The road have no twists and turns which makes the roadtrip more picturesque.
The Magnetic Hill is basically an optical illusion in which a slight downhill appears to be an uphill slope. The alignment of the road with the slope of the background can give the illusion that cars are able to drift upwards.
A few kilometers after magnetic hill lies the confluence of Indus and Zanskar.
