July 15 Update - Summer Vacation Break!

Love your energy! I have mudded a "few" walls in my day too! When my husband and I were in our late 20's for me, early 30's for him, we added 1,000 square feet onto our little (690 square feet), first house in Colorado. It had been a hunting cabin in the 1930's. Long story short, we ran into problems with our contractor, and ended up doing all of the work from the initial electrical inspection. So, we did the insulation, drywall, mudding, sanding, painting, tile work and counters in the kitchen, the entire bathroom, even a chimney! We had someone else do the carpeting, the stucco, and the roof. That was a lot for a young married couple to take on, but I enjoyed it. Get some good rest and relaxation!!!

What a project that sounds like for a young married couple indeed. I wouldn't mind having the money to have someone else do the work, but if I ever were to build some new structure, chances are I'd be trying or having to do as much of it myself as possible to save on the funds. Having had a taste of almost all aspects of construction, it's nice to at least feel somewhat prepared for doing whatever one may have to. Now carpeting and stucco, that would be a bit new to me too.

Praise God that you are keeping productive and serving Him (Romans 12.11). This honors our Lord. Balance in life is also honoring Him as well as keeping time available for being a father and husband.
