Welcome to the July 2023 SCDRP Monthly Partnership Meeting!
In this meeting, we discuss important SCDRP updates, including the 2024 Annual Meeting location, Staff updates, and the new Members Portal (scdrp.app.neoncrm.com/login).
For our guest speakers, experts from the United South and Eastern Tribes (USET) & SE Climate Adaptation Science Center (SE CASC) discuss tribal climate adaptation priorities and opportunities.
Our first speaker is Dr. Katherine Smith, the Director of the Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Centers (SE CASC), one of the nine regional centers that form the National and Regional Climate Adaptation Science Center network. Dr. Smith works with university and Federal scientists to provide applied, actionable science that helps stewards of fish, wildlife and ecosystems strategically adapt to changing conditions.
Our second speaker is Dr. Steph Courtney, the Assistant Climate Science Liaison for the United South and Eastern Tribes (USET) Tribal Climate Resilience Program Team. Dr. Courtney serves as a technical expert on climate change issues, resource vulnerability, and climate adaptation actions to Tribal Nations in the USET region and in the combined regions of SE CASC and NE CASC.
Join us every 4th Thursday at 10am EST virtually! Email us at scdrp@secoora.org for more information or to join our Listserv.
