Hi. It’s crazy. My brain and mouth don’t get along at times.

I love my Lamy Vista so much that I upgraded it with a fine 14K nib last year. 😊 Thanks for sharing, that was a very interesting video and it was well done as always… absolutely nothing to complain about - least of all your voice, btw… 😊

Hi, Kirsten. Thank you for watching and commenting. I’m thinking about getting another Vista in M and maybe a rollerball. It is a lovely pen!!

I love that you did this and make it obvious. I feel like I do this most months but it’s because I don’t want to neglect less expensive pens because I have ‘prettier’ pens to look at and use. Sometimes I think I’m crazy spending this kind of money on writing instruments; then I look at them and I remember why! 😂😍 I’m looking forward to your thoughts at the end of the month.

Hi, Anita. Like you, I just love pens! I like em expensive and cheap. As long as they are pretty and write well, I’m all over them.

I love my Lamy Vista, too. I do not like Pelikans, though. I dislike how their nibs look and they are way too broad even the extra fine. That Maiora is really nice. So interesting that we can spend so much money on a pen and get a great writing experience from the lowest priced ones. I am always interested in your videos and I love your drawl. Happy to see you tonight.

Hi, Peggy. Thank you for your support as always. Yes the Pelikan nibs are thick. Even my EF feels more like a M. I’ve come to love the M1000 and M800 though. Something about them.

I'm afraid if I did such a comparison I would hate myself for spending so much on fancy pens when the inexpensive pens work just fine.
@drawinsscribblins53263 ай бұрын
Hi, Ichiro. They work just as well but the expensive pens do feel better in the hand. Don’t hate yourself. I don’t regret buying any of the pens in this video. 🤓

Yeah Terri I heard m100 too. I was like; "She making up models now?" But the pen community has a rule that if you cannot pronounce the name of the pen properly, you have to give it to me. 😁😁😁😁 I'll be over here at my mailbox. I actually love the Kakuno, but I do not like the Preppy so much.💜

Hi, Rob. It’s packed and on its way to you soaked in my tears. 😭 The Preppy turned out nicer than I expected but feels very cheap!!

This is why I may never up my pen price from its current place. I love my pink safari, but I recently traded the red Safari for a pineider metropolis. Agreed, the original price of $85-$100 is steep, but it's available now for ~$40 and it's a great little pen.
@drawinsscribblins53263 ай бұрын
Hi, Amy. One big thing that the expensive pens in this video have is mojo. There is something about the way they feel in the hand. I’m not familiar with the Metropolis; I’ll have to look into it. Thanks for sharing!

@@drawinsscribblins5326It's so nice that you show love to all the price ranges! 💗 I had to jump out of my $100 pen limit pretty quick due to the hand feel. More the size for my hand really. Unless I stuck to jinhao 9019s, my options were too limited for my liking...especially since I wanted pens in pretty colors. I shifted over to small maker pens within a year of getting into the hobby - larger pens in pretty patterns that don't break the bank. I try to use my more budget friendly options too, but they can be so small. 😥

I love the honesty of this video. The things you mention that are annoying with some of the pricier pens, would drive me batty. I have yet to hold a Pelikan M1000 or any Pelikan for that matter, but I do love that almost all reviews mention it being a wet/juicy nib. I don't suppose you have an M800? I'm just curious if the size of the M800 is better than the M600 and lower models. And if you do have an M800 do you have a common pen that you could compare the grip to? Like is it equivalent to a TWSBI Eco or Diamond 580? Or a Kakuno? Or Benu Euphoria? I enjoy your videos and your calm, soothing voice.
@drawinsscribblins53263 ай бұрын
Hi, Diane. The Pelikans write thicker than normal. My EF feels like a M. I do have an M800. I did a comparison video of the 1000, 800 and 600 a few months back. The section on the M800 is bigger than the Euphoria and TWSBI. But it is very comfortable. All three are very comfortable with very nice piston mechanisms.
