Proper integration of hand tracking to be able to push buttons, pull/push levers, turn switches etc. in VR would be a game changer. Having the control gradually highlight as your finger(s) get close and then using a gesture to interact would be ideal. For example, pinch gesture would lock you into that highlighted control and then you could turn your hand for a key-type control, or push/pull for a lever, etc. Buttons should be highlighted and pushable with forefinger.

Please add the Old Man of Storr as a POI on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. It was sorely missing from the first UK update and it really shouldn't be overlooked the second time around. It's such an iconic landmark!

It's part of the Orbx Great Britain North pack but it doesn't really look that good. Would've been nice to have had it done by Asobo/Gaya to the same standard as the Cliffs of Moher look to be done.

I agree, it would be awesome to have the old man of storr. But I doubt it will happen. It would needed to be 3D-scanned from very upclose. Quite a lot of effort. Or hand modelled, but that would need a lot of work. So... I doubt that we will get it any time soon. Also: let's face it, its not a big landmark... so from the air, it is probably not as spectacular to look at as from the ground when you stand in front of it.

Finally (13:30 in)... They have been a bit more detailed about incorporating VR. Up until now it has been vague and actually subject to interpretation. But is is clearly defined as something that will be included. Without VR I would not be making the move. VR to MSFS is like Sterling on silver. You get over NYC in VR, and you are actually there.

The fact the horrible jarring VR shutdown bug that “couldn’t be duplicated” remains unfixed for 2 years (despite it not happening in PDMG planes) should be an indicator of how much attention VR will get in the future.

Where do you say enough is enough ? I am surprised they do not duplicate GEVR as their free floating drone camera. That would be really special.

A shared cockpit feature would give my group of gaming buddies the reason to buy the sim or play it on gamepass. If it were just that feature alone I'd pay for it multiple times over as gifts to people I want to introduce the sim to. I hope you realise how transformative this feature will be for growing the user base, and for general enjoyment of those that want to use it.

That's something they have planned, but they said that feature will come at a later date after release. But until then at least we can walk in 3rd person to explore environments. Really can't wait for Msfs 2024. Imagine walking to the edge of the grand canyon and panning the camera in 360° and recording that! I know you're like Bro I Just Wanted To Know About Shared Cockpits Bro Lol, but please forgive my excitement. I feel like Msfs 2024 is designed for total creativity, as you aren't just a plane, you are your character (Pilot) first. What i love about the new sim is that is it's designed to say yes can do that. A feature i would love is when we get out of our planes and walk over to another pilot is to have a feature called Voip Proximity Chat. That way i can walk over to you and communicate by voice, and have a toggle that turns it on or off, but the feature is on by default.

with all the sea and ship updates, they could pull of a microsoft sailing simulator with the same world and technologies from msfs (little work) and have a cross game cross platform simulator imagine in mss you have a carrier, and your friends from msfs land on you... thats just dope asf... the wind technology would also be helpful for wind navigation in boats

When the XBL outage hit, my platform (PC) launched back into the OOBE as well and I had to reset all my cfg data, however once the network came back up all my cloud saved profile data (including controller profiles) DID come back and was available again. Was still a nightmare because I have a home cockpit which uses a whole array of integrated peripheral’s. Had I known, I would have just waited 🤦‍♂️ Did anyone on here actually lose their profiles after the network came back online or was it the same situation as mine, where the data did repopulate from the cloud save after the network outage was addressed? Speaking to PC/home cockpit users only, I know console users weren’t so lucky.

They've finally managed to get the Brazil photogrammetry flights done but will take a couple months to edit, make POI's, airports etc. I suspect the first World Update for after MSFS 2024 releases will be either a Brazil WU or general South America update depending on the data they have.

MSFS is missing a highly immersive feature which is the simulation of G-force effects through the movement of the camera, for example with acceleration or when turning, since the release of MSFS 2020, third party developers have been complaining that the SDK does not support this. How is it possible that FSX (came out in 2006) could support it but MSFS 2020 doesn’t! There is a new feature coming out soon for X-Plane 12 called inertial camera, I hope Asobo can take a look at it. This kind of feature hugely adds to the realism, and I hope it is not overlooked in MSFS 2024 too.

27:20 you are on the memory limit but with stupid consoles Jorg... why punish PC players from this as well? Flying online with friends is huge part of simming today and seeing the realistic model is just necessary. It is really immersion breaking when the jet figher is A320 and different jet fighter is default GA aircraft... You are limited by console performances fine you cant do anything about it, but why you wont give this feature to PC players where you are not limited? Hm?

Also there needs to be better default support of 3rd party controllers. Honeycomb hardware should be auto recognized and have their defaults set into the sim. XPlane did this so you can't tell me that MSFS20 can't be made to do it.

@@FlameBotguess I have what the numbers represent the wrong way around in quality. With regards to DEM I’ve always gone by the lower number being better as they go by distance between elevation data points, but I guess these numbers represent how many points per a set distance or something?

World updates focuses only on the same places ( 2x Las Vegas, 2x europe and USA same main town, and Australy... What about Africa ? China ? Russia ? No story ? )

Problem is the lack of data. So, MS needs to collect the data themselves (like currently Brazil) but countries like Russia and China are not known to give their permission to do so. And Africa is a large region with many different countries making it not an easier task.

Why making user profiles so complicated ? why not saving ALL user preferences, profiles + camera views as real FILES in the local PC ? then, synchronisation will be checked between Local and cloud as well as any synchronisation. Conflicts will lead to backups files in local, for secure user working... + possibility to launch FS2020 full offline, and it will become a SIMULATOR. Today, with these "gamer behavior" , FS2020 is only a Deluxe game. Not a sim.

Microsoft just needs to dump the Series S and stop forcing developers to make their games work on it. The Series S was lampooned from its announcement and has been a failure for the life of this console generation this is part of the issue with MSFS20, they never should have brought it to consoles in the first place due to the closed architecture of a console. MSFS20 was held back by forcing it to work on Xbox, sure this added millions of users, but at the same time held it back from its own potential.
