July 2024 Week 4 NWA Powerrr | Singles Match

Tonight on NWA Powerrr, Chris Slater takes on Adam EZ in a one on one matchup.
EZ is an original NWA member from before Tom Wesley’s purchase of the company 3 years ago and despite his egotistical tendencies and disrespect for everyone else in the company, the NWA fans have a special bond with him and seemingly refuse to boo him.
It will be a true test of faith for those fans as another new fan favorite in Chris Slater will be his matchup tonight.
Both men look to regain some momentum as both were eliminated by “Wildman” Wade Tucker in consecutive rounds of the #1 Contender’s Tournament.
EZ cut a promo last week on Slater saying:
“Chris Slater, you think you’ve made an impact in the NWA, huh? You’re the shiny new toy, the 'next big thing' they keep talking about. But let’s take a little trip down memory lane, shall we? You came in hot, had a good run until the #1 Contender’s tournament-when you ran into a brick wall in ‘Wildman’ Wade Tucker. Boom. Out in a flash, just like that.
But me? I went a little further. I made it past the first round. I fought tooth and nail to get one step closer to that title shot. Sure, I didn’t win, but at least I went deeper than you. You see when you lost, it wasn’t just a loss, it was a lesson. A lesson you hadn’t learned yet, Slater. You can’t just walk in here and claim the spotlight. You have to earn it. There are no shortcuts to the top in this business.
You’ve got a lot of potential, Chris. But here's the thing: you ain’t gonna get any freebies. And when we face off? It’s not gonna be about who’s younger or hungrier. It’s gonna be about who’s been here longer, who’s paid their dues, and who knows how to survive. You might think you’ve got something to prove, but you’re stepping into MY ring now. And when that bell rings? I am going to teach you a lesson that you will never forget.”
Fighting words coming from EZ. It will be interesting to see how Slater responds to him in their match tonight.
Will Slater be able to overcome one of the NWA originals? Or will EZ take him to school?
