On a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Flushing, the Mets (50-47) take on the Dodgers (44-53) before 38,008 at Shea Stadium. Kris Benson gets the start for the Mets and has one of his best starts of the season going 8 shutout innings, striking out 5. The Mets get a 3-hit performance from Mike Piazza including a 2-run homer. Carlos Beltran and Cliff Floyd also contribute 2 hits a piece.

Never knew Dave O’Brien called Mets games. I remember him moreso with the Marlins in 2001 and the Red Sox since 2016.
