Thanks Brett. Maybe I'll see the cool, rainy summer more reflected in the taste! 😅🌿

Wow your set grown onions are looking good as are the Figs, 2024 the year of the Slug.

Thanks! I could have left them in a bit longer, but slugs and snails ate most of the foliage 😅

You must be so proud of your allotment I think parsnips are best harvested after a frost, the frost brings out more sweetness. If you're picking yours soon you can peel, chop and freeze them to replicate the frost sweetening, cook them from frozen. Noticed a few tomato plants growing out of my mums compost bin today, I think they be supermarket tomatoes that have seeded, we've potted them and see how they'll turn out. I'm sure you can grow the seeds from supermarket tomatoes and you get a better quality of tomato than you bought.

Thanks! I'll have a think about keeping the parsnips in then, though I'm worried the longer they're in ground, the more chance pests have at getting them! Good luck with the tomatoes 🌿

Those strawberries were a great size Conor! My biggest ones were like half that size lol 😂. It's been a slow start for the bananas this year, they are all a bit behind where they were last year. I'm hoping it stays warmer over the next couple of months so they can put on some decent growth 🤞

Thanks Peter. Unfortunately I have to bag every individual strawberry in order to get them to ripen without getting eaten, which takes a long time! But they are reaching a good size 🙌🌿

@@hopeitgrows2892 Yeah, I've had quite a few of my strawberries eaten by slugs and snails before I got a chance to pick them.
