@@Harley24986 when I first read happy place I thought it was 5 stars but I reread it after one year and having read more books from a variety of authors I think I'm giving it a 3.5 stars. I also didn't connect with beach read at all and gave it 2 stars. I'm still thinking of giving a chance to funny story though 🤔

I want to read Cassandra Clare but I’m not sure where to start she has so many books. You should do a video on her books and the reading orders. I’ve heard so much good things about her books

I would start with the mortal instruments and then the infernal devices and then the last hour series. And there is also a series on hulu based off the mortal instruments series which is really good but I would read the books before you watch the tv show

you can start by reading the mortal instruments or the infernal devices! keep in mind that you can only read the last hours if you read the infernal devices first! also to read the dark artifices, you should read the mortal instruments first! my favorite books are clockwork princess (infernal devices) and lord of shadows (dark artifices). my reading order has been: mortal intruments (6 books) the red scrolls of magic (eldest curses - 1st book. about characters of mortal instruments) infernal devices (3 books) the bane chronicles (life of magnus bane- the only character that appears in all the shadowhunters' books) tales from the shadowhunter's academy (about characters of mortal instruments) the lost book of the white (eldest curses- final book) the dark artifices (3 books. characters from mortal instruments appear) ghost of the shadow market (however, i would say it's better to read this after the last hours) the last hours (3 books-- i'm currently reading chain of iron. characters from infernal devices are also here) the shadowhunter's codex hope this helps a little😊

I think Reckless was just as good as Powerless. I think it wasn't eat to be as fast paced as Powerless. It is supposed help us get to knw Pae and Kai more and see their love for one another blossom. Plus it was sooo heartfelt. Especially the last150 paes. From the minute they start their journey through the sanctuary of souls till the end, it was amazing. All the intimate moments and dialogue, as well as Kai's thoughts touched my heart. ❤

This is why reading and watching book reviews is so amazing. We all interact with books so differently. I love hearing other people perspectives. When I heard you say in your vlog that Happy Place was not realistic i was laughing because OMG i related so much to that book. I absolutely have that personality where i would be insisting on knowing why someone broke up with me but my husband is totally the person that wouldn’t want to talk and i would have to pull things out. Especially at the age they are in the book. Some how its worked out for us though, we’ve been together for 23 years 😊. We have grown up together. If i was meeting someone like that after being an adult then probably I wouldn’t want to deal with that. Before you started reading infernal devices i had totally forgotten about Cassandra Claire . I think I’ll give one of those a go. Love your channel! No five stars for me this month but i really did enjoy Great & Valdin.

I BINGED the Kindred's Curse series in the last 2 weeks!! I read all 3 books that are out, while on holiday. You have to read the next 2 books! Can't wait to talk to you about it!!! The next 2 books just keep getting BETTER AND BETTER too! It's my new fave romantasy series. It's up there with TOG and When the Moon Hatched for me!!

Okay! About Emily Henry. I agree that not all of her books are masterpieces. I didn't read Happy Place. In fact, I also only read 2 books from her: Beach Read first (around 2 years ago) and then Book Lovers last february. I relate to what you say about Beach Read. Good book but nothing to make a fuss about. However! Book Lovers has entered my favorite books-shelf. Maybe it is because I felt connected a lot with the main character... I don't know your tastes very good for the moment, but I would encourage you to give it a try.

Great wrap up!! I had the same rating for Lessons in Chemistry, it’s just always so hard when a book is overhyped… I’m almost always disappointed 😬😂 And I’ve heard such great things about Archer’s Voice, guess it’s another romance to add to my TBR. Also really wanting to read Spark of the Everflame, so glad you loved it!! I read 11 books in July, no DNF’s, and two 5 stars (plus a 4.75 star)! 😍

I also don't like Emily Henry books 😂. Imo, her writing is far from cheap or juvenile but it is boring. Halfway through her books, I feel like I've had enough. Her first few chapters were always promising then it becomes stagnant and repetitive. I gave the Happy Place a 3/5, Funny story a 3.5/5, and DNF for Book Lovers (i might pick it up again).

I’m in the minority here too. I didn’t like beach read and happy place either. But I loved Funny Story, her newest release. Give it a try. It was actually funny and I think it’s EH’s best.
