Hi Jack!!! And hi also to the cute cat! 😻 I'm glad that even in a so-so month you found some great reads! When you mentioned The Foghorn Echoes in the other video I remember thinking it sounded really interesting. After the great review I'll definitely make sure to keep an eye out for it! I'm still in an up-and-down reading phase but this month I finally got to The Mountains Sing by Nguyen Phan Que Mai and I really liked it! It's quite a sad and heavy story but it was really gripping, I sped through it and that is saying something coming from a slow reader like myself. 😆 Have a lovely week! 😊

@@rie_violet hi friend! And thanks for saying hello to the cat! 😊 So glad you’ve found a book you’re interested in. Always makes me happy! Ohhhhhh I’ve been meaning to get to The Mountain Sings for so long! It’s been on my tbr for ages! Sorry for the late reply. I’m a bit unwell at the moment! 😊

@@jthbooks I'm just so, so pleased! I felt it had such beautiful writing, the kind of future classics and even had echoes of books like Life of Pie, but was completely it's own. I read it at a different time, but being our country, there was still a lot of talk about immigration and it felt like such a human story behind all of those headlines I'm beyond happy you loved it!

3:40 I always think that if I forget a MC name within the first month after reading a book, then it was not a 5 star read. 😂 7:17 Yeah, books that have a lot of unknown names in art or other areas can be tough, I don't want to feel like I have to stop reading to google sth every other page. I will put The secret history on my TBR, thank you for mentioning it. And the same with Permafrost. And I just saw that Mammoth is now out here in Sweden. Loved the video, as always!

@@keibailey4739 This showed up in my Notifications, and for a moment, brightened my day that someone thought I was handsome!! Alas, I suspect it is aimed at Jack, and I would have to agree, he is a bit of a cutie!
