I like that the old ones are distinct. They were hard to find and expensive and the new model doesn't wipe out that value.

I don't think there's anything not to be excited about 🤔 Any Infinity content is *good* content, so thanks for bringing it here! The series is definitely top of the list, gritty animation is absolutely the best direction.

Glad I finally got an Ajax again, not happy about the material, just in time for me not to give a flying n4 about it. It will be painted for n5. I think the new tikbalang is an absolute travesty, it needed those beautiful blades. Glad I have the og in my case. even though I don't and never will play pan o. I will be tossing together something for haqq based off the blackwind box, eventually, new sculpts look good. I will be grabbing them to go into my hassassin bin. But this is low priority, my hobby dance car is full. JSA, looks great, the new sculpts look fun, but too little, way too late. I sold my JSA when I moved. I didn't enjoy jsa on the table in n4, so they originally got ear marked as a painting project. Then just sold. I grabbed some ghost in the shell sculpts and painted them up. Between aleph, CA and maybe tohaa, eventually. I have more than enough to keep me busy.

Great video as always. Sad to see Ajax is still Siocast when CB are already going with Unicool that looks so much better, but sans the hammer he is a chunky enough boy that I won't have to worry much about bits breaking en route to a game store. I do plan on converting the model to use his full size though, and seeing that the stone is a separate piece has given me peace of mind about my conversion plans and their feasability. Would it be too much heresy if I change the hammer for an axe?

Haha, Great video but .... As a JSA player, I strongly disagree with the oyoroi being too cheap. I'm sure when you compare it to other tags, it seems under costed. But in the context of the entire faction of JSA, it is not only the most expensive unit, but an iconic symbol of the faction. The new tag, has zero unique features - but the model looks absolutely gorgeous. JSA didn't need another HMG tag, saving me 13 points to spend on either a handful of units, or bringing another? keisotsu. What I needed was something unique - That's what the faction is. A handful of incredibly unique diverse profiles, All of which are usually pretty expensive for the faction, propped up by cheaper line troops. I would only bring the new tag, if they gave it stealth, or it could go in a Duo link, or had some other unique trait, like the oyoroi's koalas. The profile is so bland. And if I'm looking to save points, I'll just bring the daiyokai, which can go in a link, and is also bs13. The new tag has zero inherent defences imho. Tldr: gorgeous model! Boring as hell profile, thay has no point in the faction.

good video. I have to completely disagree with not only your take on the O-Yoroi being "too cheap" for what you get. I also think JSA players are wrong thinking the Sokorentai "is not good for the cost". the Sokorentai is going to be better ON THE TABLE than jsa players think. a S6 TAG is AP HMG, Pulzar and Panzerfaust is going to rake. Just took at the other model that is releasing with it, the Tikbalangs. You are removing 1 BS to gain 13 points to use upgraded profiles on the units in your army list. the Sokorentai does not replace the O-Yoroi, it allows JSA to play different lists. it is a perfect model to be release with the Tikbalangs, which does the same exact thing for Military Orders. Tikbalangs MO lists are completely different from the "standard" MO lists.

I have to disagree here. I play Steel Phalanx, and this new JSA TAG is not too different from Agamemnon, and that is not a good thing. Aggy is the one piece I NEVER use in N4 (in Code One it has its uses) because it simply can't compete with Achilles if I intent on bringing a "TAG", and if I don't there's that. This new model doesn't bring (ruleswise, the mini looks amazing) anything to be excited about. For it's cost I's rather go cheaper with a Daiyokai or just pay those 13p for a full O Yoroi (or just do away with TAG like stuff and bring a fistful of ninjas). If it at least had enough mobility to leverage those CC stats it'd be nice to consider giving it a role, but as is? Hard pass, which is a pity because, again, I DO like the model a lot

6-4 movement does give it speed to get into CC and the smoke options available mean it can race up under the cover of smoke to get close at 10” a time. Even if your opponent has MSV it can take a hit from anything other than a lucky HRL. The tactical awareness gives it that extra order for movement too. So getting it into CC is very doable. The lack of stealth is an issue when O-Yoroi has it.

@@the_infinitygamer that's the thing - O-Yoroi can do exactly the same thing but better. The problem is in the design of the Mechazoid's role on the field. The profile as it is brings more problems to JSA list-building than it solves. Different HMG platform - VERY cool. But then we see: - it's a worse shot than O-Yoroi, - cannot link like Dayiokai can (this is a bummer really. If it could DUO, an ability to escort a specialist engineer Yuriko Oda up the board would be very handy), - has no Stealth so cannot avoid some of the dangers to TAGs/HIs/REMs (meaning it requires more support from other pieces and is in some ways less mobile), - has Religious instead of Courage so cannot duck into cover after a failed-but-survived shootout, like so many other pieces in the JSA lists can,... Personally I believe Martial Arts and CC capabilities "because: samurai" are a trap here. If we drop that, we get a MUCH cheaper profile and could either stay at this or add something more defining in the "role" area. Without it having some defining positive features and/or less points-cost it's really hard for it to compare well against the O-Yoroi, Dayiokai link or full ML/Panzerfaust Tanko HARIS (for the same points and BS) And O-Yoroi is not too cheap. It's fine as it has generally less armor and shoots worse than other similarly costed S7 TAGs, but makes up for it in uniqueness.

@@Majkhelek Dude the O Yoroi IS undercosted. Crazily so. Strip out stealth, minelayer and koalas and it would be fairly costed, as a strong allrounder with the USP of being great in CC. Guijia is my baseline for this, and I don't see how anyone could justify the OY being around 9pts cheaper whil also being stricly better.
