Right on! Well, I will warn that we are getting a ton of snow. Last report was 2 feet of snow on the ice and huge drifts along the edge of the reservoir. The only guys getting out there are on snow mobiles and taking shovels to dig down. conditions could change with the weather. But i would hate for you to travel and not get a heads up. Good luck!!

@@prestonsadventures677 January and early Febuary is a great time to go. The ice is thick and its still cold. The closer to the end of March the fatter the fish are because they spawn early Spring, but the better the chance of the ice melting and not being able to get out there like now. It never got below 37 degrees this past weekend and we had to cancel going. We typically park at Poison Creek and take a 4wheeler or snowmobile out from there. You'll see where to fish by all the people from there. If you can find a break line where it drops to 28-30 feet dee, that's a good place to start.

There’s a road within a half mile of Sugarloaf island off of Highway 55. With a boat ramp

It’s further out than you think, that is if you’re walking. We’ve hiked in from both sides. In the winter they don’t maintain that road, and it’s a real looong walk then.

Thanks so much for the view! The ice fishing is outstanding right now! Big trout just off the shore and giant perch out deep! Careful if you go. The ice has been thinning, a guy lost his 4 wheeler out there on Friday by Poison creek.

Thanks you! Glad we can inspire! The reservoirs are starting to freeze up including Cascade. The whole North end of the res is already covered with ice. We have another Cascade video in the works as well. Thanks so much for the feed back and good luck on the ice this winter!
