Legally it has to have enough to carry no less than 50% of the passenger and crew capacity from one side of the ship. So effectively the minimum requirement is both sides together is enough to evacuate the entire ship. As regards capacity, It can vary. Small life rafts may only hold 4 people. Large boats may hold upwards of 70 people

I've been going through the Spark videos since I found them about 3 weeks ago and have a question for the Channel.... are you aware of the amount of Betting Adverts that are attached to your videos? I personally don't gamble and have personalised ad's enabled and hardly see any adverts for betting on any of the other youtube videos I watch, but all Spark videos I have watched so far (over 75 and counting) only seem to advertise Gambling and Betting companies.... I don't know if this is something you have planned but it makes me very reluctant to recommend them to anyone with children.... just wanted to let you know this and see if it was intentional (ps. The Queen Elizabeth 2 is SO big if it were a few inches taller it would hit the Verrazano narrows bridge when entering New York's harbor. Therefore it is unlikely a ship that is much larger will be made.

I used to say the same thing... I hate crowds, but I've been on 9 cruises now & some of my best vacations & memories have been on those trips. I enjoy flying to places too, but cruising is its own experience. There's just something about being in a full blown resort, where everything from, bars, clubs, top notch dining, spas, theater, pools etc, that is also your transportation on a beautiful ocean to multiple destinations that is unique. Everything is in walking distance at any time & provides a great experience.Ya it can feel crowded sometimes, but you wouldn't want to go to an empty bar, club, theater, or casino, would you? I have spent 5 times as much flying to remote places and didn't see as much, do as much or eat as well. It's a great bang for your buck and these ships are designed to spread everyone out in all the venues so that one spot isn't typically too over crowded. I went on an all exclusive cruise for 14 days to 5 different countries & 9 destinations in Central and South America for less than 4k for two people. You can't beat that.
