Awesome. I have a Giant Talon 2 that I have upgraded but I am hesitant to do modest jumps with it, but now that I saw this video it gave me the confidence that the frame can handle it and I don't have to spend more for another frame.

it's not really about the frame, giant aluxx frames are built well. issue is with the stock forks, definitely need an upgrade on that. the coil forks are not meant to jump with, air forks would be a better option in my opinion.

Did some big drops at Bentonville and it handled it well. I’ve never bottomed the fork out. Air shocks are definitely better but this does surprisingly well.

@@psyde I upgraded to a Suntour Epixon 120mm a year ago and yes it made a whole lot of difference. Well I guess I’ll start my noob training then.hehe.

@@welthoutdoors8255 Awesome. I have to start letting go the fear of scratching my bike and start training for more agressive riding.

Great video! You covered a lot of terrain. I’ve been thinking about getting a fat tire to smooth out my ride but the Talon with front shock might do a better job. Have you compared with a fat tire? What are your thoughts? Thanks!

It all depends on how you want to ride! I like doing jump tracks and flying through trails. If you’re just looking for a smooth cruise through the woods in all weather a fat bike is the direction you want to go.

Giant in my opinion. Never liked Turk much. I had a Domane and wasn’t particularly impressed tho it was a lower end model with tiagra.
