A quick tip: using the scale from 0 to 100 for the second widget gives the battery capacity from 0 to 8.4 volts. A better way would be to use the scale from 60 to 84 to provide the percentage of the usable capacity of the battery. This scale will work for 18650 batteries. The scale is simply the battery voltage range taken from the battery meter range from the Setup page of the radio (0:31 from the vide) multiplied by 10 to give better resolution.

Another helpful procedure setting up the Jumper. Never dealt with Open TX before. I'm finding it to have a huge learning curve, so your videos are exceedingly helpful. Once again, THANK YOU.

Thank you so much! Updated the firmware on my TX16S and only used to the non-TFT OpenTX from my Taranis Q X7, helpful video to figure out how to get my voltmeter back

@@RcMcNutt You do a very good job demonstrating the protocol. Easy for me to follow and understand and I am forty years with Multiplex so the change is not so easy.

Hi there one minor suggestion/correction when adding a gauge battery you should put the MIN value set to the lowest bat voltage, and the MAX the full charged battery in order to to display correctly the full 100 % and 0% empty. Otherwise it will give you the voltage times 10. ;) my to cents...

Good tutorial. I have the X9D Plus before and when I got my T16 it’s learning OpenTx once again. Forgot most of the stuff I know on how to program this Radio. I’m trying to learn how to program it for Helicopter, so bits and pieces here and there helps. Regards.

Thanks. I am also figuring out how to program helis. If I get it figured out I will make a video.

@Rc McNutt Was trying to setup mine doing it on the PC, seem a little easier that way. My Goblin 380 is currently bound to my Futaba 14SG. Thinking of getting another receiver with SFHSS protocol, bind the T16 and copy the values from my Futaba, and same channel mapping. Should work.

Great video. Thanks. Set up my widgets and it works great. I have another question if you don't mind though. Do you have any experience setting up Spektrum RX's with the Jumper T16? I can get mine to bind but I can't get the throttle to work on any combination of Rx/Esc Motor.

Make sure the radio default channel mapping is the same as the multi protocol module. Check radio default by clicking the "sys" then scroll to bottom and see what it is...aetr, reta, taer. Then go to the home screen of the model. Hold the MDL then scroll down to where you see "module status" .You can see the module channel order there. The channel order MUST match what was in the radio channel order. As long as those match, the module will send out the correct channel order for that receiver when it detects and binds. If the channel order of the radio and module do not match you should update the module and choose the correct channel order when you download the update. For instance, my receivers are all spektrum, but my radio and module CHANNEL order are AETR. When I bind the module sends out the channel order as TAER which is spektrum. ALSO, you can definately change the radio and module to TAER if all you fly is spektrum. I just left mine in the stock AETR. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much! I have a question that baffles me. If you can answer this one I’ll be amazed. When my Jumper was new it would beep when binding. Now it doesn’t beep. Tried a second jumper and it did exactly the same thing. Why have they stopped beeping after binding the first quad, but don’t beep when binding another quad? I must be accidentally changing something? I’m sure other owners have had this happen. I even had a pro confused by this little oddity. Thank you ahead of time!

Sound like you're dublicating the original quad setup instead of creating new model, so it beeped the first one and not the following ones. My possible thought anyway.

I have telemetry to show receiver battery. I'm using a lipo battery 4s 5000 mah. But it's show 4.6 volts are you able to help fix this problem? Thank you Mike
@Dan-ru2pz4 жыл бұрын
The voltage you're seeing if the BEC coming off the ESC which is 5V (with tolerance). Not the battery itself.

Anyone else have trouble getting battcheck top bar widget working on the T16? Got vbat value right next to it reading fine, but bettcheck will not read for the life of me.
