Alert !!! I just got the Jumper T16 Pro. To work with dsm2 and dsmx receivers BOTH internal RF and external RF have to be ON in the model setup menu. After hours trying to make it work with the internal RF only and no response I try both on and wala!! works.

Been reading on this as I JUST got a T16 and ordered a DSMX quad only to just discover there's been issues with running DSMX on it. :( So can you confirm that the above comment resolves it (other sites are saying the firmware needs to be updated) - or is your comment above related to something else with DSMX?

I've not had my T16 long, but it's halfway between the T16 and T16 Pro, it came with the battery tray that has 3 pins enabling balance charging (I made the same charging lead as you showed there), and it has hall effect gimbals, but no internal RF module so I bought the external one, then a short while later they released the internal module :-\

I hear your frustration... Anyway, adding the internal module is pretty easy and if you use CRSF I definitely recommend doing so.

@Gal Kremer I do have CRSF but I'm holding back on buying the internal module for a couple of reasons; it doesn't feel nice having to buy the same piece of hardware again in such a short time, and secondly summer stopped dead 3 weeks ago today in the UK, it's been rain and wind every day so I haven't been flying much at all since it's so difficult to find a clear gap in the weather. But I will buy it eventually :)

I love my Jumper T16 now after I complained about the gimbal. Pyrodrone sent me hall sensor gimbals and it has fixed all the issues. I don't have the multi-protocol though. What benefit do I get if I buy the multi-protocol board?

Great review as always. I just received my t16 and right out of the box it's defective. When I power it up I get continuous static through the speaker. Static increases in volume as the screen decreases in intensity. Now I'm faced with having to return the unit. I feel they have a quality control issue. Not sure I would never buy another jumper product. Great concept poor quality control. I feel Spectrum and FlySky are excellent options over Frsky. Thank you Gal.

@@KremerFPV thank you so much for the reply. I've done just about everything including your suggestion. The only time they static goes away is if I started in bootloader mode. I'm waiting on a response from the retailer and jumper. As soon as I find something out I'll be happy to let you know. Once again absolutely fantastic Channel.

I did not. As far as I know the internal module is identical to the external one.

Hi Gal, Great vid,very clearly done. I am looking at vids on the T16 because I have just got one. Having had "normal" radios up till now I find the radio setup is really hard to work out.Servo reverse, travel adjust/end points, throttle/pitch curves, etc ,nothing is like normal method to use, spectrum etc. Will you be doing a "basics vid" now the T16 is becoming popular,i think a lot of newbs will be buying this and have no idea how a "opentx" is hard to setup

Thanks Sam. I did not backup my models. As far as I know - you need to use the OpenTX companion app for that.

Yes, otherwise you will get a version mismatch error. Try keeping the models folder and see if it helps.

Gal, I am in the process of upgrading my Jumper T16 with the internal module and Hall effect gimbals. The one thing I want to complete the project, but can’t find, is the silver logo piece on the front of the radio. I realize it’s purely cosmetic, but I never liked the current red one that came with the radio anyway. Can you please supply a link as to where I can get this last part?? I think it's called the Plus :-) No, as far as I know you will not get it with a cover, but I suggest double checking it with the vendor you bought it from.

Try updating the firmware of the TX and calibrating the sticks.

Yo said to put the hall gimballs aside in case something happens to the regular ones... I discovered that the guy I got the t16 from wanted to replace the springs, he did but he broke the gimballs in the process so I had to superglue them together... Does that count as something happening to gimballs? :D

Also, you might want to add some hot glue or liquid electric tape to where the flimzy gimbal wires are soldered. One of my wires was disconnected when received. I'm glad it disconnected now than while flying over the ocean :)

I replaced mine a couple of days ago but it works fine... Try putting back the old one and see if this continues, if so, you might have shorted something in the process of replacing it. If not then the module is defective.

My t-16 that I have never gotten to use has 2 switches SA/SB, show in the hardware menu are 3 pos. switch , but only works as a 2 pos. I wrote to the company ( JUMPER) and this is what the wrote back to me . I did what they say said and the cable from SC/SD would not reach SA/SB connector . Then while trying to put the cable back for SC/SD I could not get it in..Bent the ribbon cable while trying , so now SA/SB AND SC/SD do not work . Jumper is a shit company and I think their service support really sucks. I am so PISSED OFF. Hi Gordon, Thanks for choosing Jumper and sorry you are having problem. Would you please kindly pull out the cable of SC/SD and insert it into SA/SB? And then turn on the radio. See if the SA/SB works back to normal? Best regards, The Jumper Team

...i own and fly jeti radios...cost 12 times this radio each...i love my plastic frsky radios to...the jumpertx t16 looks like my old futabas...i believe the jumper feels and ages like a plastic moulded mass-produced common product...it got the looks...it take the advantages of open source development...i like when plastic is what it is...my x7’s/x_lite’s looks what it is...the jumper looks 1500$ but is 150$...i dont like that...
