If there’s anything we’ve learned from the internet, it’s that some people will do anything for likes. It’s hard for me to watch it. I worked on cruise ships a few years ago. Last year, I learned that my former colleague had taken his life by jumping off at night. His friends said that he had been depressed. It’s so sick that some people treat this like a joke, when the ship’s crew’s biggest fear is that someone will be lost. This guy is lucky that he jumped near the shore, where there were plenty of rescue boats. But those boats should be occupied with actual emergencies, not some idiots making stunts.

I did 70ft when i was younger I'm into flips but i just did a straight jump because i was to scared to flip. It was Gloucester quarries in Massachusetts like 13 years ago these videos really make me want to do it again!

Well in 2022, a teen died in the quarries after jumping off. Sources say that it is now illegal. I live about an hour and 20 mins away, so I am thinking of going just to see how the Quarries look now.

Do you think that maybe he was not seriously hurt because he was drunk? Similar to drunk drivers often coming out from major car accidents basically unscathed, perhaps being drunk prevented him from tensing up incorrectly and thus he was able to avoid serious injury from the impact? Or would that be more likely to be worse? Either way, he seems to be incredibly lucky, and I hope no one presses their own luck by following him.
