guys you're hating on her! I ride horses and own 2, they are very different than fake horses. if you are a rider then you know what it's like to have an unbalanced horse especially while jumping and its hard. give this girl a chance! yes she could be better but honestly she is trying and is probably a great rider. remember you were learning once and you have been through alot so don't place hate on this girl!!!

I want one and a cutting horse one! What amazing product this is. I rode hunter/jumpers and had many falls, but this can also be a great confidence builder for those that have had bad falls in the past and slowly recovering. A product for people to experience what it is like to jump a horse. When you take a lesson you don't learn to jump the first day it takes weeks to learn to jump a horse.

I recently broke my arm & cannot ride for another two months. I want one of these! This is great for people who want to ride but cannot because of injury or they do not have a horse. Maybe it would not teach a person correct riding skills yet, but it sure looks FUN and DEFINITELY WOULD build up self esteem & a desire to take professional lessons & learn to ride the real thing correctly. I think this machine is a GREAT and POSITIVE simulator if one can afford to use it somewhere, or even own it.

Some people think this is great, some people hate this. Personally, i would try this just to try it.....but nothing could ever REALLY simulate a horse. They aren't that smooth and Jumpers can be some of the most high strung horses and hardest to ride out there so the temperment of this "horse" really doesn't match what a true setting would be like. There is a reason horses are called "Beasts" and not "Machines".
@TheRachelTurley
@TheRachelTurley 11 жыл бұрын
If you read the description the machine can be used to build confidence. Plus it produces feed back so then she could know her balance was off you her hands were too stiff. It annoys me how everyone is so critical and a true horse riding expert on youtube. I never knew 1/2 my flaws until someone videoed me riding.
@Cheesekake343
@Cheesekake343 11 жыл бұрын
I agree it's NOWHERE near a real horse, there is no movement under that saddle. It's just the general back and forth movement. Plus I agree with arielsun99, if jumping was that easy you'd see everyone doing it! But boring? Not at all, I would LOVE one of those in my house for my own entertainment when I couldn't get out to ride! LOL
@TwinkiesCanFly
@TwinkiesCanFly 12 жыл бұрын
did you not notice how ridiculously weird the jump stimulator was? While her equitation isn't perfect in the least - a good portion of her faults can probably be blamed on the fact that the jump lasts about 5 seconds and all of it's quite off to be honest. So before you criticize you should take into account the fact that it's not a real horse - so you can't expect real riding.
@PositivelyPony
@PositivelyPony 11 жыл бұрын
This is a awesome Simulator you can ride a horse without the hastle! No, grooming, cleaning their stall of feeding! But, I think it would get boring since it's not a real horse. The only way to have fun is to work with a actual horse cleaning the stalls can be fun it your active like me! :)
@TheYoghurt42
@TheYoghurt42 11 жыл бұрын
Haha that looks like fun. I wouldn't put reins on it though if you are training your position, it's easy to learn to lean on the reins if there's no mouth attached on the other end! But then you wouldn't want to translate that to your actual riding.

looks like it puts too much effort in the "landing" phase and not enough in the "take off" and it is REALLLY slow! what horse jumps and canters like that... still it looks fun! I wanted something like that when I was a kid

I only wish i had access to such a wonderful tool.I am able riding everyday and still would very much love to learn on one of these.I have been riding for 15 years and still have much room for improvement.Although my instructor is very good at her job sometimes i am very bad at listening.Shes instructing me one thing and my horse decides we will do another.Having my instructor right beside me on a stationary horse would just be fantastic.I think you guys have created a truly amazing product.
@Myselfandme999

Plus, this opens up the possibility for an instructor to correct mistakes in the rider's positions right away. He/She can for example push the rider's leg into the correct position, instead of having to maybe film the rider and horse jumping and giving instructions when they have finished. It's a great learning experience that doesn't even put stress on an actual horse. Great for the first few experiences!

She also appears to be a cross country rider. They tend to ride up out of their seat. As they're running and jumping. They perch like a jockey. Also, as a jumper rider, I can tell you that different people ride differently. Hunter riders also have a more forward seat. Most European riders sit very deep and heavy in the saddle. Maybe do some research before you start having a go at a company that's just trying to help people.
@HondoMackieHorses

shes most likely a beginner. I noticed she was balancing a little on the reins though. I think thats one of the draw backs of this machine. Its just hard plastic and the horse doesnt go crazy when you pull too hard(it should though, that would be more realistic) also could put her shoulders back a bit. BUT other than that she is doing pretty good. And yeah, it is a machine. sooo thats probably a little different
@TheLadyJFox

Cool idea! Doesn't replace actual experience, but I see some value to it as a training aid. Just from watching, it didn't look like the simulator distinguished from leads while switching from right or left handed turns before or after jumps. That or I couldn't tell from the video. Either way, I think if you were able to simulate leads on that thing, including the moment of the change, you're customers may get more out of the simulator. Just food for thought. Wish you the all the best. :)

@Pcj996211 Actually I like it, it has different speeds especially slower speeds which is good for experienced riders who r coming back from an injury or new young riders learning to jump. I like it for those reasons even thou it never replaces the real thing it certainly builds the muscles to self support which a real horse would need. Eventing riders r in a 2 pt when cantering across the field to reserve enegry for the horse & u r not allowed to hang on the face either the sensors correct u.

If she is doing everything so badly, im glad that she is learning on one of these machines than a horse. Its good its teaching her, not everybody is born perfect! And sometimes its easier to learn on one of these than a horse, as it least its predictable and gives you a feel for it, before going on the real thing!
@curtispacheco6417
@curtispacheco6417 11 жыл бұрын
First off, you say that it is affordable, yet you don't say how much it is. Yeah that gives me a lot of confidence. But I will admit it looks like fun, still I would rather learn on a real horse, simulator for training maybe but I would rather build a relationship with the real thing that can show that same affection back rather than a machine.
@mosstestful
@mosstestful 11 жыл бұрын
actually, she follows really well with her elbows, has a great seat, and a perfect leg position that doesn't move. also, how can you judge someone's riding when they aren't even riding a real horse? Next time you want to sound smart online, try actually knowing what you are talking about. And don't be so rude either.
@GogglesRequired
@GogglesRequired 12 жыл бұрын
Hardly. Her lower leg is not too far forward nor too far back and is stable. She's looking ahead keeping her shoulders back. The only thing I would say is theres too much pressure down the reins but balance comes with practice and by the looks of this, she isn't far from a great position. I think maybe you need to learn a few things.

If you want to improve, you need to push yourself. If you push yourself, you will occasionally fail. Failure in horseback riding often equals falling off. So, yes, if you never fall off, you may have pretty fabulous skills... but I bet you have to fall off a lot to get those skills.
@whatyallcallsouthernanddow9746

If that was a real horse she would of already fell off. She is leaning forward way too much before the jumps and if it was a real horse she would be yanking the mouth too much. Sloppy riding. And the simulator is nothing like what real jumping is. I ride western and even i can see this.

i dont know if this simulator has one but it would be really cool if it meaured the pressure and pulling in the mouth for riders who dont know if they are pulling on the riens to much or to little to communicate effectivly and to notice if they are jerking on the reins!

That is tremendously rude to commet such things. The owner of this video is very right. Even if it isn't a REAL horse it doesn't matter, its a SIMULATION, look up the definition, its not the EXACT thing as riding a horse but its SIMILAR.
