Although the wind is very strong, the scenery you shot on the top of the mountain is so beautiful! The mountain scenery of Morocco is similar to that of Chile, Nepal, and Pakistan! I don’t know why I feel that the landscapes of these three countries are very similar? Ha ha! This time you both ordered similar meals, look very healthy! Local prices are cheaper than expected, thanks a lot for sharing, really great job! 👍😄👏

Has brought back memories, many parts remind me of Biblical scenes, rugged mountains, ponies, donkeys and great food. I was blown away in one area I travelled come across Roman temples and provided a great education to me of pioneering spirit and trading capacity of the Romans. Food was great and scenery so different from desert area, oasis, mountains, rugged roads similar to winding appearance of some european nations. Thanks for resparking my memory. Safe passage.

Oh my dear, this is nothing. Morocco is diverse in everything: Bahrain, the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, green forests, the desert, and cities like Ifrian, as if you were in Switzerland. There are incredible areas, and also blue cities like Chefchaouen, red cities like Marrakesh, and white cities like Asilah. There are many tourist cities, whether in the north, the interior, the south, or You will like the desert, all the places, and the mistakes they make. People travel to Marrakesh and some areas, then they prefer to go there every time instead of looking for suitable places where there are no tourists, because Moroccans do not travel to Marrakesh. It is just a desert city and full of tourists.

My wife and I have been watching all your videos since we saw you in Tierra del Fuego a couple of years ago. This time fifty years ago (as a young 22 year old Dutch Australian long haired traveller who couldn't enter Morocco unless I cut off around ten inches of my hair) I hitch hiked to Morocco from Tunisia (getting a four month long ride with two old VW vans we stopped in Marrakesh for several days enjoying Jemma efna at night and then drove to an amazing beach called Tarazoute Beach where we spent six weeks. There were just a few VW vans in 1974 on those beaches and of course many stories to tell of that time there. It is also interesting to note that I was there in 1974 as a long haired hippie traveller and in 1981 I was sent back to Morocco as an international male model, this time with short hair doing a film shoot for a German clothing company, all expenses paid, staying in the best hotels, working with other beautiful girl models and still receiving $1000 a day in those times. I have a carpet which I bought deep in the market in Marrakesh which adorns my house. My wife and I thoroughly enjoy your videos along with Jason Billam Travel and Gabriel Traveler and we continue to travel vicariously through your travels. All the best. I see that all of you have been lucky so far with no bad things happening to you. My VW campervan which took me from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego and across to Europe etc (three years of fantastic independent travels) was stolen in Seville Spain and with no insurance I lost everything and of course it changed completely the direction of my life.

I just came back from visiting Rio for Carnaval. I now totally understand why both you and Carol enjoy visiting beaches and hiking up mountains. Since Rio is blessed with both beaches and steep mountains. The culture was also very relaxed and mellow despite all the street parties for Carnaval. It made me appreciate the videos both you and Carol have been doing for several years now
@JumpingPlaces9 ай бұрын
Nice! Did you find the carnaval to be pretty crazy?
@rjhemedes9 ай бұрын
@gPlaces In some ways yes, but it was because I did not realize that Carnaval was something that was celebrated all over Brazil, not just Rio. Before my trip, I always thought Carnaval was just all about the samba schools competing at the Sambadrome, which really is the greatest show on earth. I did not realize that Carnaval also involved all the street parties happening all over Rio and the rest of Brazil. The street parties reminded me of West Hollywood Carnaval, which is the largest Halloween celebration I attend almost every year. The main difference is many Brazilians love to sing and dance at the same time. In contrast, Americans at street parties will either dance or sing, but usually not both at the same time. I want to return to Rio for Carnaval again in the future, but I still need to experience Carnaval in Venice, and Mardi Gras in New Orleans and Sydney before I return to Rio. I was also able to visit Brasilia for a few days and the architecture at Brazil's capital is amazing.

Very nice video. Great mountain place to visit. I certainly didn't make it up there on the motorcycle. The pointy lids and hats on teapots and tagine cooking pots and even the hats of the Berber people are remarkable. I guess it all has to do with the fact that heat rises and keeps things warm.
