You two are awesome! Congratulations for an exceptional experience shared, and all the details in this video. So much appreciated. Superb photography throughout and I'm just happy that it all went well. It seems you recovered quickly from Covid, which is great. Thanks. Enjoy the journey to your next exploration.

Hi guys. Thanks for the packing info. Have you guys heard of Merino wool for minimalist packing? It dries quickly and wicks away moisture. It also doesn’t stink and doesn’t need washing regularly. Keeps you warm in cold and keeps you cool in warm. Susie.

Very nice video. We did Everest Base Camp a few years ago and enjoyed it very much. I'm glad you pointed out how cold the rooms are. Most people don't realize that. We did Kilimanjaro and slept in tents. It was warmer in a tent than in the tea houses. Thanks again for this very informative video.

What an epic trip and video series! Idk how you managed to keep filming, and with such high quality, while you were so physically and mentally taxed. Brilliant job, and also with the editing… I really felt like I experienced the journey with you, without the suffering. 😂 Anyone who might have thought you were just ‘beach softies’ saw your strength, endurance, and resilience taking on this challenge. Bravo!

I just completed an Annapurna sanctuary trek a couple of weeks after you both and the 3 of us had one porter/guide to carry everything and look after us - just $25 a day so very cheap when split between 3. And yes ... we did have to still buy both permits each. Thanks for a very informative video that will be invaluable to many. And to anyone who is still not sure ..... go and trek in Nepal - it is the most fantastic experience .... the hiking, the views, the villages and most of all the most wonderful local people. Finally ... a nice gesture ... take loads of biros to give out to the kids - they love them !!!
@jenmar9428 Жыл бұрын
Did you have to pay the accommodation for the porter? And did y’all have to buy him food too? Please let me know.
@tappers127 Жыл бұрын
@@jenmar9428 Hi, generally the porters get free accomodation from the tea-house you are staying at but they pay for their own food. So at the very most their expenses during a trek are no more than $10 per day.
@bartonsky Жыл бұрын
I will be there shortly. Are guides required now? I would like to find a group to split it with but then trying to coordinate schedules of several people and wake up times I can envision issues w that.
@Bughy195 Жыл бұрын
Hey @tappers127 did you also tip the porter or the guide? Some friend of mine said that it's expected that you tip them daily, did that happened to you? Also where did you find the guide/porter from? Do you have a link or a place that you recommend? Thank you and have a great day.
@tappers127 Жыл бұрын
Hi @@Bughy195 - yes we did tip our porter/guide at the very end of our trip - can't remember how much but about 10% cash and also we gave him our rucksack (bought just for trek) - he was VERY happy with that 👍👍

In higher altitudes we don't get heater, its because there is less trees for wood and also lower oxygen makes difficulties to burn fire as fire also need enough oxygen 😉 electricity wire hasn't reached there, solar energy is not effective because of low sun heat so, locals builded small small hydropower for cooking and lights only ....i think you have seen big pipes in trials thats the hydropower build by villagers ....but in winter due to extreme cold pipes get frozen causes scarcity of electricity

Some very good info. Just.. Osprey offers the Kestrel model in 38,48,58,68 L and there is no Kestrel 35L. Also there is no place on earth where you buy Kestrel for 38 dollars. 1:04 Those you show can only be replica and not real Osprey.
