Thanks for the positive response in Jamaica. I've been spending my vacations in Montego Bay for the last 30 plus years and always enjoyed myself. Jamaica has no welfare system so you have to hustle if you want to eat. Learning the culture is important. Safe travels.

Try the Royalton Negril. I have spent quite a few times there and I was in that area for many many years before the Royalton was built going to the Grand Lido. Perfect Beach well sheltered white sand

Merrills is a really nice place to stay 🙂 It is small and lot more authentic than the huge all-all inclusive that are almost a village by them self. We spent 2 weeks there in oct/nov and lovered everything about it ❤️ Enjoy your next adventure 🙂

I couldn’t explain what was happening to me in 2020 when I was forced to leave early because of Covid and the shutdown. I was watching another video and I heard the person said the very same thing that she was going through a withdrawal syndrome when she back to PA and that is when I concluded that was the same way I felt. It’s weird but it does happen.😂

i spent two weeks in Negril three months back, its now engrained in my heart as a definite return destination. Even though i can stay inPortland fro free, i will go back to Negril again and again. Next time i promise myself to check out more chill spots and chat with more people.

The bad reputation is an old story, I understand. You are in a very safe place. Negril is probably the safest. This stems from the Capital of Kingston and the gang issue, but that has also been cleaned up. Jamacia is now one of the safest countries for the crime. I have a rule in any country: always lock your passport and a large amount of money in the hotel safe. Only take what you need per day/ Thanks again, good job, and best wishes. 7 miles beach is one of the best in Jamaica. You can walk very far out into the water and see the clearest water ever. It is quite an exhilarating experience. Jamaica is a very exotic and beautiful country.

Been to Jamaica a dozen times. Stayed at several all inclusive in Montego Bay , Run Away Bay and Ochoa Rios. Never had a bad experience with food , entertainment and room conditions. I’ve been to Negril but never stayed there.

I love this idea that an “all inclusive” can be clean, simple, un fussy and still be an excellent experience. Just don’t expect “fancy” and you can enjoy.

That all inclusive hotel is beautiful! I love your beautiful sunny smiles! Active selling is a phenomenon in tourist attractions in many countries, but the degree of forced selling is actually related to whether the local laws are strict! The natural cave pool is awesome! Another beach looks more commercial, I like the one you live on! The beach and the sunset in Jamaica are really beautiful, thank you very much for sharing! 👍🥰🙏

We are going back to the Riu Negril just up the beach in bloody bay in September it will be the fourth time but the first time back since are holiday was cancelled in 2019 because of covid and the fifth time to Jamaica we find the best value from the U.K. is a package deal it was are 40th anniversary in march so we thought we would Celebrate at our favourite holiday destination Jamaica 🇯🇲

Been going to Negril since 1983. We stay next door to Merrills mostly at the Yellow Bird. We stayed at Merrills twice. Negril is our most favorite place in the world to stay.

There is no place on earth like the beautiful islands of the West Indies. Jamaica is the only island that rivals St. Lucia in beauty but each island has its own unique charm. The key is getting to know the people. One more thought - from my experience, as a resident, the most beautiful weather occurs in the hurricane season.

I had the same opinion until I traveled to the Greek islands this summer. The blue waters of the islands are so crisp. The West Indies feels like I turned on a cool photo filter while the Greek islands is like I upgraded the camera itself, it's so unreal.

I went there for my birthday last year. Stayed in Montero Bay and Negril for a few days at each location. I love Negril so close to seven mile beach. That's one of the places I'd definitely visit again!!

The Caribbean can be expensive. To eat great (healthy), it can get a lil’ bit expensive. I am lactose & gluten intolerant and pescatarian/vegetarian. We visited Nevis. It was pretty expensive for me. We had breakfast at the Four Seasons hotel. Four Season catered to me amazingly. ❤ For lunch and dinner, we went to other restaurants that were a lil’ bit expensive.

If you can find a way to get to Mayfield falls, it's a lovely off the beaten path, beautiful place. It's not as hectic as the more we'll known falls. Also please try the best food & we'll known restaurants in negril. Sweet Spice❤❤❤ , Just Natural, on west end near Xtabi ( where I've stayed) The nicestowners & The Lions Den if still in business. I also believe Erica's hideaway restaurant was good. Avoid Roaring River..& remember most folks that approach you are hustlers
