@giannishen everyone can use the internet in China. They just can't access certain American social media websites. It is well known CIA uses social media platforms such as Facebook to disrupt foreign societies. If there's one thing you can't do in China, it is to challenge the government and cause chaos. It was done for the right reasons since the United States is pulling out every imaginable tactic to keep China from overtaking the US.

In most parts of China, tea is a beverage added to restaurants, just like when you go to eat, restaurants will provide tea, but this tea may not necessarily be good tea. If people just want to drink tea, they will buy tea leave and make it themselves, just like making coffee at home. If you want to find a place to try Chinese tea, I suggest you go to a tea shop where you can taste it for free. If you are in Guangdong, you can try morning tea, which can provide better tea and Dim sum. If you go to Sichuan, it will be easy to find a real tea house because Sichuan people like to chat, play mahjong, and so on in the tea house. Except for these two places, restaurants in other places either offer regular tea or offer more expensive tea options.

Gday Chris and Carol! After watching your Beijing vlogg at Forbidden City. I remember how exciting it was to be in the Palace when I visit the city 10yrs ago. But then I realised that you forgot to visit the Great Wall Of China in Beijing! Or maybe you already went there before? Anyway Shanghai is another exciting City Specially the Yuyuan Garden and the best Dumpling is in that complex. Anyway enjoy your Asian travel and hope to see you guys Down Under Here in Sydney one day? cheers Ronaldo

I’m surprised the teahouse was so expensive. You and Carol are better off buying bottle tea. It’s probably just as good

Great video and tips .. I was in Shanghai recently and stayed at the Hyatt which was walking distance from the Pearl tower. There is a spot where people took selfies of themselves and the 3 tallest buildings by placing phones on the ground. Amazing shots in the evenings.

Hi Chris and Carol. Great video, it's now on our travel list. Question - what app do they use for ordering food? You mentioned it needed a local number but can you set it up prior to leaving your home country and there for a local number isn't required? Or do they have to call you to confirm the order on a local number?

its called meituan waimai. You need a chinese number for it, they do call sometimes when they drop it off at the hotels but we could never communicate lol. The hotels that we stayed at always had drop off points for deliveries though so they would leave it there
