I wasn't very excited about seeing this video, but it turned out to be quite wonderful. The jungle seems so peaceful. This seemed more like an adventure than a package tour, especially since you all (and us viewers) were able to learn so much about the jungle. Great video! Muito obrigado!

I felt exactly the same way! Since it's not something I personally would want to do, but I was delighted to watch you adventure unfold. Nice to see rustic and authentic tours still exist! Thank you! P. S. Way to go Carol! Two best comments: "I guess I'm better at putting up my hammock than Chris" and also, coming back with no fish, "Chris. You had one job!". Love your interactions!

Seems peaceful until the damn mosquitoes notice you! I swear when I first arrived to Brazil if I was in some woods with Brazilians only I was massacrated by the mosquitoes. I think they notice you are a "gringo" 😅

@@andreccampos Exactly. My wife is from the Peruvian Amazon and we have visited her family there many times over the years. When I am there the mosquitoes and other smaller nat like insects seem to only go after me. My wife's father laughs and says it is because they don't know me yet (no te conocen todavia). It doesn't seem to be because I am a "gringo" as her sister brought her kids to visit that had never been there - born and raised in the capital (Lima), first visit at 3 years old and 12 years old (her 2 boys) and they were bitten up by the bugs as well. Maybe an immunity built up over time from exposure? Not sure...

I just feel so nostalgic seeing the beauty of the Amazon Forest. For someone who have live a life experiencing the jungle makes me more want to appreciate these wonders given to us by mother nature. Let's all work on the protection of our rain forest so that the future generations will be able to see these wonders. Protecting our forest is vital for our survival. 💚💚💚

Always following, another great informative video and it's strange to see some in the comments who are not very happy with the sight of the little animals of nature. Well, we humans, as far as I know, I learned in biology, we are the MINORITY of the planet!!! The Amazon is a clear example of the beauty and strength of the natural world. This brings back memories of my jungle trekking in the Malaysian rainforest in the state of Pahang with my wife, which is reputed to be among the oldest in the world. Nice video guys :) I had a similar experience in Canaima National Park in Venezuela years ago. Also slept in a hammock not far from a river there with a spectacular view on Angel Falls. We didn't go fishing for piranhas there but we did it in the Orinoco delta in Venezuela. We ate them after but the taste wasn't that great. It was very fat in fact haha. I still have some piranha teeth from the one we ate. It was a great experience so i can imagine how you guys feel. If one day Venezuela becomes a safer place you should go to Canaima national park. You would enjoy it so much. To get there we had to take a cessna (small airplane) from Ciudad Bolivar for 45 minutes or so over the jungle. The Tepuis of Canaima are breath taking. You really feel like you are in Jurassic park but without the Dinosaurs haha. Also there were two smaller falls called Sapo and Sapito. You could walk behind the water of the fall. Thx for sharing the amazon adventure. It is still on my bucket list so i enjoy every second of it. Safe Jumping guys ::)

I’ve been to a few jungle areas, one was the Choco on the coastline of Colombia near Buenaventura and Iquitos Peru, also in the Amazon, something everyone should do in their lifetimes. It’s an unforgettable experience! I went to Choco about 30 years ago, we camped outside on hammocks and the place was teeming with wildlife and met the local Indians! More recently I was in Madagascar, managed to see some Lemurs, amazing unique animals, there are many different types of Lemurs!

What an experience, feels like you’re in a survivor episode. You got to learn a lot about the Amazon and had a taste living in the jungle. Glad to see you experienced eating using a big leaf and improvised wood spoon. It would have been more exciting if you were able to catch piranhas and broiled it. The guide is great, he probably knows how to survive in the jungle. Let us know how was your first night sleeping on a hammock. I bet it’s not comfortable hanging there for the whole night knowing there’s a tarantula and ants crawling below and above you🕷🐜. Carol didn’t apply insect repellent on her face. An insect repellent hat would have avoided it. Next time, spray your shoes too and apply the lotion esp. the ears and temples. Carol was hoping to see a snake, how about a jaguar? 😃

I love your videos from DR and now Brazil, you look great with your new haircut and Carol's natural beauty is amazing. I hope you don't see any snakes, i hate snakes, lol... My best part with the guide was 11:54 when he said the wild pig if you hit them they will chase you and if you climb a tree will wait until you come down & seek revenge, somehow that seems so damn funny i would pay any amount of money to see that, omg.
