Wow ~ Congratulations on arriving in a new country and embarking on an extraordinary journey! The wind there is so strong, I can imagine that you didn't get a good sleep there! Although the desert there is so beautiful, it is also a bit scary because I am afraid of getting lost or lack of water, or monsters may appear! Well, I've probably been influenced by a lot of movies! Some trees look like open palms from a distance. Perhaps they were transformed by the gods in Greek mythology who came here thousands of years ago! You are lucky, you arrived late but saved the food, maybe God really helped you! I have to say that you had the same lunch again this episode, which is rare. Congratulations! The sunset and starry sky there are particularly beautiful, thank you for sharing! 👍😍🙌

People don't realize how hard it is to walk in Sand Dunes. It's like walking in thick deep snow and makes hiking in the high mountains seem easy. I've done it and was surprised at how difficult it was and how much energy it takes. You two are very fit.

I'm a desert-dweller from Arizona in the USA. You don't see a drastic drop in night temps in the desert in the summer. That would go for the summer in the desert of Namibia as well. Make sure to drink water even when you are not thirsty.

Very nice video of the Namib desert. Excellent drone work! I was there on the motorcycle in January 2011. They had just outlawed motorcycle entry into the Park area and we had to hire a driver and Landrover. A flash flood caused the gullies to fill (no bridges) and the Landrover tried to cross one and drowned the Diesel engine. Later on the road to Windhoek I tipped over the motorcycle in a flooded gully and drowned my Blackberry phone and Nikon camera. 😞

Very interesting desert scenes. The area with the old dead trees reminds me of some Salvador Dali paintings! I've learned to appreciate the beauty and life in desert environments, but they are harsh places to visit and you have to be prepared!

Great video with beautiful photography 😀 I did a similar trip in August 2005, nice to see it hasn't changed at all. Temperatures in the winter are around 26c during the day but drop to freezing at night which is better for sleeping and it's dry so easier to spot the animals. Happy memories 😊

Guys, I don’t know if you’re still in Nam but, drones are a big no no in the national parks ( you even filmed the sign saying so ). The fines are high and equipment is confiscated. This applies across most of Southern Africa ( I’m not sure about Moz ). Best to declare it when you enter and have it sealed which they check when you leave.

Nice to see you guys in Namibia. I've done 2 self drives there. 10 days is definitely not long enough! You really should spend a minimum of 14 days there to really get to see the country especially Damaraland. People don't realize how large a country it is and as you are learning, the distances are quite far between places and take longer than google maps suggests, especially if you want to stop and take photos.
