Why REM beyond arroz?

Arrows belong to the cave system and are meant for indicators for all parties. A REM belongs to a team or individual and leaves the system arrows to continue to provide overall system markings without confusion. The benefit of REM’s become apparent when two or more teams are trying to use the same jump, at the same time.

You are correct. If you put REM after the arrow you risk missing an indicator to exit should you find yourself in zero visibility.
