Great video. I have the BL140F and this helped me understand the meter better than the instructions. I use it on my golf cart Thanks for taking the time to do this.

It would be nice if it could show consumption in Watt-hours. That says much more about the power being used, than Amp-hours.

Calculating state of charge by counting amp hours is easier. Counting watt hours is non-linear because the voltage is falling.

Why would you prefer this rather than a battery monitor that has watts included?

i think they do know and are laughing at us. 🙂 The "dancing American politician moves system", or as we know it in the UK the "al gore rhythm" they use! shows we will buy any old C**P from them. At least the battery will always have less capacity than the displays show as i expect it's not measuring its own self discharging affect on it. 🙂

So you shouldn't let this sit connected overnight, but then the point is lost - you don't know what the SOC of the battery is. Does it keep the settings of you cut power? I guess so?
