Another option for lighting are strips of series LEDs and a TV backlight driver board (few quid off Aliex) that takes a low volt dc input. Basically a dc-dc converter with high voltage constant current output.

Complicated balancing setup. I would have just used an 8s balancer and a display that will show 8s voltages, like the ISDT BG-8S But if you are already aware of that scenario, I definitely understand trying out new items.

Depends on the type of led, normal old school or phosphor as the will have a forward voltage. So its resistor = (supply voltage - LedVf )/required current.

What camera are you using these days Julian? Focus is really soft and the colour is very washed out. I thought my glasses were mucky to begin with.

24:32 "LEDs under that Yellow Jelly type substance" Does anyone know where you can buy that Phosphor coating please? I've seen it applied to blue LED Chips in manufacturing of White LEDs But I have no idea where to buy it from. In a syringe for example.

To mount those balancers, could you solder a couple of earthing lugs to the PCB somewhere and use them as mounting holes ?

I think the LS76920 could be a clone of this: TI 'BQ76920' 3 to 5-Series Cell Li-Ion and Li-Phosphate Battery Monitor (bq76940 Family)

Those resistor values _are_ crazy! Wow! A difference of 900K Ohms, and both in the "stratosphere" to begin with! Do you have a 904 resistor you can add to the 104 to see if the 4S LEDs get as bright as the 5S ones? 🤣😂💡🪔
