I played against Piemonti game 1 at pauper geddon he was piloting this deck such a nice guy patient and understanding with how nervous I was! Really appreciate how friendly everyone was! I won 2-1 playing Jeskai epemerate as my choice of control deck going unbeaten day 1 going 5-0-2 making day 2 and finishing 68th 🎉

I played against Lambas for the first time today. I have no idea why I’ve skipped over that card in my collection but it’s… kinda decent to be honest! Just a tiny approach of the second sun with all the other life gain potentially going on.

I don’t get how does this list improve on golgari control, having 3 mana colors slows down turns making it lose even harder to mono red kuldotha and other burn lists. Crysalis is busted but is it really worth making the list autolose to the biggest threat in the meta?

The decks isn’t t that good imo. I’ve played it a lot and it feels lackluster in comparison to other midrange/control type of decks. Jund gives the deck a better side board and good board presence in exchange of speed (which it never had) and consistent (which was always lacking). You’re completely right about the awful performance against burn. Golgari also wasn’t that good, but jund is even worst.

@@WrennNsix I still main golgari. The matchup vs burn is often about keeping wheather the storm threat so you can slow down red development, even if you don't have it in hand. There are also some hidden mana plays such as if you have 3 swamps and can use deadly dispute. Personally i don't get how this jund list is meant to have any advantages over golgari, other than maybe breath weapon. Golgari is still solid right now imo, just needs to avoid mistakes and hopefully dodge gruul ramp haha. I wanted to experiment with sneaky snacker splash on golgari to fix the lack of board presence, it can also effectively be a free target for deadly dispute. more board presence from the jund list feels debatable, chrisalis by itself doesn't feel like it should be winning that much over the standard initiative plan. I don't feel like the list is inconsistent, it just requires some weird lines to really do well.
