I assume the entire structure of the crane can only move left and right by I assume the operator whose also doing all the container moving? Do each crane units have fail safes built in so they cant play bumper cars with each other? I'd expect the price to repair one of those beasts would not be cheap nor fast! The crane simply takes containers off the ship, places it onto a truck or some type of transport then it moves out into the yard for storage/further processing?

Yes, there were fell saves so that we cannot run into another crane although we can touch the other Crane case we’re working days close to one another and yes, the cargo just goes down onto what we call a bombard or to chassis and loading the ship back is the same way thank you for the question and I hope you’re enjoying the channel
