Ok, I love you and your work! As a 27 year postal veteran here, the calendar on your cover page is in a “postage stamp.” The circle with the wavy lines is a “cancellation mark’ which cancels the stamp so it cannot be used more than once to send mail. Just an FYI! Keep up the GREAT work!

This set up is so pretty! 😍 I also really liked hearing your discussions as well. The first discussion about how society essentially wants women to compete for men ties into amatonormativity and how that affects women. I think it’s important to talk about since it does affect others and not just those, like myself, that can’t fit into that normative since we’re aromantic, asexual, and/or polyamorous. Like, whether you’re aro, like me, or not growing up with society telling you that you’ll find your knight in shining armor, “the one”, or essentially that someone will sweep you off your feet and carry you off into a happily every after, can be really harmful since it does things such as you said where women feel a need to compete against each other and not support each other. Or putting the search for such a relationship up as such a priority that you neglect yourself, your self-love, self-care. I just think it’s really important to talk about in general and in multiple circles, ya know.

I am so surprised that there is such education and environment that say women are in competion against one another for men. Not saying that women are all necessary commrades, but I feel such distance, or particularly unnecessary competion, amongst the same group, regardless of age, race, or gender, is really disturbing... And I do think it's impt to stand up for & be proud of ur own kind, as a woman in this context.

i agree. we as women should honor our womanhood and each other’s womanhood and stand up for it as well. and it is surprising to see how women compete with each other. it’s surprising and sad. but they do. not all, of course. and i’m trying to be the woman that doesn’t do this. but it happens. a lot. and all of it stems from misogyny. often women feel like they will be more accepted or “cool” if they talk badly behind other women’s back. i mean, why would they talk badly right? what are they even saying about them? they might make fun of their appearance or they may have an attitude of judgment. “who does she think she is?”. historically speaking, a man said this first. a man put a woman down first. and if we aren’t teaming up with that kind of man, well then we might also not have any power. because men have the power. so women do these things to gain an illusion of power. these things are changing, our world isn’t as misogynist as before, but change doesn’t mean it’s not still present. and misogyny is still misogyny. i think you are in touch with your own humanity, empathy, and womanhood. especially if you are surprised such things still exist. however i think it’s important to recognize these things are still happening because awareness allows us to stand up for the women who are victims of misogyny. which technically, it’s all of us, even if it may not be blatant and apparent. thank you for your thoughts and experience 🤎
