Great vlog Cath - love all your makes especially the kalle - that fabric 🥰. I agree the Southport maxi overwhelms your small frame and you’re obvs not ‘feeling it’ so lob it off at a length you are more comfortable with and it will look great x

Hi Cath, your makes are beautiful, I have several of the patterns you detailed and it is really helpful for me when buying fabric for those patterns. I thought the Southport looked so cute on you, but in the end you are the one wearing it and it is important to be comfortable, but it is so cute.

Some amazing makes again Cath. It’s a shame about the maxi dress as it’s such beautiful material, perhaps you could try shortening it to mid-calf first to see what it looks like, before committing yourself to really short. 🧶🌈🍓

I have the knitted cats and dogs book too. My grandaughters first choices were the little mice and kittens but they wanted them in the baskets that they are in in the illustrations but sadly there is no pattern for the basket, have you knitted a basket? Your makes this month are lovely and nice choice of buttons as always

Interested to see your Southport. Struggling to make it from viscose which is very fluid. Having difficulty getting the binding to sit well as made my own matching. Think it needs something more structured bias wise or too interface round the neck especially. I did tissue fit for it and lengthened the bodice but don't know yet if that is ok. Also found the neckline too low for me, which had made me hesitate about making it. At the moment not sure if I'll ever finish it😞

Love your makes Cath. The swimsuit is great but a little too revealing for my body shape. I’ve been making tankinis for a few years now because I don’t like tops that are tight fitting. I use an adapted bikini pattern and add a small skirt to it that flares out slightly and they are so comfortable in the heat.

I'm always curious about your accent. You speak with a rising inflection at the end of your phrases and sentences that would ordinarily indicate a question. Is it a lilt you have from another language or is it a regional accent maybe? It is something Australians sometimes do, rising up at the end of a sentence rather than down. It is quite sweet but I wondered where it comes from.
