Very informative, I also do a year or two up dates on how the swords have held up.

In addition to your sword reviews, I am particularly excited about your Samurai Quick Cuts episodes. Your recent video about the Kissaki was very informative. I hope you plan to do similar episodes about various aspects/parts of the katana in the future. Keep up the great work - your content is valuable and educational. Thank you!

I am honored and humbled at the same time. Quick cuts absolutely is on the program as it serves a side purpose for my dojo! The next episode is on Zukuri. I was waiting for a sword to arrive (which it just did) so I could have ONE more on hand of a different type to photograph. Thank you for the motivation to keep it up!

Hey just outta curiosity, i plan on ordering a custom version of the previous sword you reviewed, would you be interested in reviewing it upon completion? It will be a full custom essentially, wide profile blade, double hi and deep koshi sori, all topped off with a beefy okissaki. Not sure if ill change the koshirae as i like their dragon Fuchikashira and i have a japanese tsuba, but i also do like the theme with the current stock tsuba they're using. Also no rush, I haven't placed the commission yet, so the blade wont be ready till late this year, maybe even early 2025 depending on delays.

Firstly, I’m honored that you would consider it and secondly, I’d never turn down an opportunity to review something new. As many different configurations as I can get my hands on is the goal so you just let me know!

@@StudioGDT glad to hear, I've been wanting to do this for awhile because they do charge a premium for custom spec blades so their aren't allot of people who've been willing to pay for and show off bigger swords lol. I also plan on having a special craftsman who's based out of Nepal attempt to reproduce some Japanese tsuba, so you'll likely get to review his work as well. I don't think he'll be able to match the quality of professional tosugu, but I think he may be a very good option for people who wanted custom designs but can't afford the price tag of having a traditional tsuba made.
