I can't get over the quality of this video! My God, it's like leaping inside the screen and teleporting back into 1963... Talk about that ultimate dream wish for some.

Exactly. There is no bombast in Kennedy's attitude. Biden could learn from this kind of graciousness.

I was 12 years old when President Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963. These videos always remind me of just how much our country lost on that gut wrenching day when our President was so brutally murdered. We must never forget…

I agree. I was also 12 years old on that terrible November day , and have never gotten over the shattering loss of our great President. I can still hear the gut wrenching words of our school principal when his voice came over the P.A. system and declared " Ladies and Gentlemen , the President of the United States is dead ". A moment frozen in time. Stay well. , Dean ( in Syracuse)

@@wayofthinkin Thank you for replying. I will never forget that horrible day, either. It is as fresh in my mind today as it was then. Our principal came to our classroom, and quietly spoke to our teacher. My teacher immediately gasped, fell backwards against the blackboard, and then fell onto the floor. My teacher had passed out, and the school nurse was summoned. President Kennedy’s death was announced to our class only after our teacher was revived. School was dismissed for the rest of that day. I have carried the pain of the assassination with me for my entire life. I still pray that we will know the ENTIRE TRUTH about this horrific tragedy before I die, although I very much doubt that we will. Please stay well, Dean, and take care…. Katherine

@R I totally agree with what you have said. I also agree that our country changed drastically after President Kennedy was assassinated, and that it has never been the same since. Thank you so very much for sharing your thoughts.

What a beautiful and hopeful speech. So very true of how Europe left the legacy of war and bigotry to become alongside the Unite State, a space for co-prosperty, liberalism and an example of how we all can live in peace and richness. I wished Russia today would --60 years later, learn from this example (Konrad Adenaur was a God-sent blessing to Germany as well)

that last sentence, yes! If Hollywood portrayed the US President as a young, charismatic incredibly good looking war hero turned pacifist with incredible speeches I’d call it extremely unrealistic. But that’s what JFK was irl

He applied common sense and sought peace along common ground. The complex that Ike, his predecessor warned about wasn't happy with a leader who didn't spark-off or promote a war.

As a route salesman for a Dallas/Ft. Worth vending company, I was filling the Coke machine in the Parkland Hospital cafeteria about a half hour before the motorcade rolled in. I was planning to stay and have lunch but the Thursday special was liver and onions, and I NEVER order organ meat in a hospital cafeteria. If roast chicken had been the special, I would have been there when Kennedy arrived. By the way, I had filled the Coke machine in the lunchroom of the Texas School Book Depository that morning. That means that if the conspiracy theorists are correct and Lee Harvey Oswald was indeed in the cafeteria drinking a Coke moments after the assassination, it was placed in the machine by Yours Truly. This gets better. The company I worked for was closed on Friday, in observance of the national tragedy, so over the weekend, I had to make up the stops I didn't get to - including the Dallas Police Headquarters. I had just pulled my truck into the parking garage on Sunday when I spotted one of my regular customers, Jack Ruby -owner of the Carousel Nightclub where we had a couple of machines. He waved to me as I drove past. He was on his way on foot to somewhere in the garage.

You are The Coke Man of The Ages. Soon you will be accused of being the trigger man. You will be Conspiracy Theory # 250. instead of the umbrella man you will be called the coke man. seems like everyone is under suspicion for the murder of JFK accept the real , lone killer: Oswald

He exhibited sterling qualities of a real Christian leader.Qualities we dont see in most world leaders nowadays. Why can nations spend more on weapons of destruction than on tools for general development and peace.Pres.Kennedy thru his grand alliance for progress could have done much forthe betterment of man and the world.

Compare it, to last week's invitations to do " whatever the hell you want " with allies who " don't pay their share ". When the borders of an Alliance are under attack, the cost of defence isn't just in munitions. It's also in taking care of those displaced by war. Europe is hosting 3.2 million Ukrainian refugees, and bearing the cost of that, as is right because we are closest to the war zones. But, Mr. Trump, make no mistake on who's paying the €25 billion a month for shelter, food, medical care, education, transportation.
