Ive been home for three weeks, and watching this makes me feel the same anxiety that your feeling in the vid. I had the right equipment, bike ,tires, food , water . I think i just needed someone to ride with. You got farther than i did, so good on you! Next year ill try again , and i know more now.

Next few days will work out okay with a few concessions / sacrifices. But while I was on the Dempster, I spoke to dozens of people. I met 4 people in one day who were stuck at mile 229 in need of motorcycle parts, wheels, tires or tubes and were stranded there. One person was paying $2,000 to have a wheel flown up from Whitehorse that his friend had taken down to have straightened. A few campers were out of spares, a guy went through 3 tubes to get to the ocean and of course the most recent issue with a head on collision of a GS with a truck. There are no resources for motorcycle repairs on this road that you'll be on for 1200 miles. You have an issue, you're getting a ride out of there and back again. no tow truck, no one has tubes or tires in stock, no fuel. In fact, when I left, both the mid point and mile 0 both ran out of regular gasoline and the delivery only comes once a week so that stranded a few more people.

Thank you! Every day is a new day to make a stupid mistake. Luckily I've been really good for this trip but maybe being too cautious? I'm all alone so that's an added risk. I want to make it home in one piece even if it means missing a few things.

I wasn’t a fan of Whitehorse. Too many tourists after all the solitude I had experienced. I’ll take gravel over the snot on the Dalton Hwy but ya it’s nerve racking still the same. I loved Dawson City and you’ll miss the Sour Toe experience 😂. Ride safe.
