Not rusty at all. I myself just got back into fly fishing. As a boy my dad taught me and we used to catch coolers full of bluegill and crappie "pitching crickets" and little poppers with our cheap hardware store fly rod specials. Some of my best memories. Well, I'm 50 now and dad is gone as I get back into what is some of the most fun to have on the water. What I wouldn't give to go with him just one more time.

Bringing back a lot of memories of fishing with my dad fly fishing for bluegill. Lost him a year ago. He’s why I fish today. I fish for him, since he can’t now.

Rod, you need to reel that excess line onto the rod after the third or fourth cast. Good fishing.

I really like the fly reel you’re using, and would love to know the make and model. I simply can’t believe you’ve stayed away from fly fishing for so long. Especially if you tie your own flies. Please stick with it as you’re very good at it. 😇
@RodsFishingAdventures5 ай бұрын
Thank you, and I will definitely be sticking with it . The reel is a Cortland Crown 75
