I found a store pick Jeppson’s out in the far SW Burbs. Lucky you on the Weller, those went so fast. I went to 3 stores and missed by only hours, great score.

On the Eagle Rare picks…I too got one last year that was worse than the regular release. Lacked sweetness and was earthy & drying on the palate from what I remember.

Wow, didn't realize 107 dropped! I must've been a little too late Also tried the Pipe Dream Cask strength at the Brownstone/CBC tasting about a month ago. was probably my favorite out of the Redwood lineup

Nice! We really like Longman & Eagle. Be sure to ask for the whiskey list - it's one of the most extensive selections in the US. Sliding scale on pricing. Gretel is a close second for us with lots of stuff to try. Ask for their allocated list. Mostly reasonable pricing. Delilah's is super divey with a lot of dusties and very competitive pricing. They're also legendary for getting very hard to find SiB picks. Best Intentions is a really no frills dive bar kind of place with allocation that punches above it's weight. Prices are very reasonable. Slightly Toasted is a powerhouse of whiskey, but it's located downtown and the pours can add up quickly $$$

That's cheaper than most places we see, but still a little too high for our taste. The bubble is finally starting to burst, while opinion of it has shifted over the last few years. We've seen it as low as $125 recently. Most we'd be willing to spend is $70.

Yikes! That's a tiny bottle haul?! I don't think I got any bourbon this last month. I did pick up Belvedere vodka, Tres Agaves tequila and I tracked down Redbreast 12 Year Cask Strength at the local Woodman's. I'm on the hunt for Driftless Glen cask strength single barrel store picks. I'll probably also be picking up some of my first Old Forester bottles soon. I was always resistant to buying them because they are so expensive versus a lot of other things. I was going to start with OF 100 proof and if that goes well OF 1897 Bonded. Then I'll start thinking about anything further. I might be picking up a Glenfiddich 14 soon too. Still trying to find Armagnac, that's an uphill battle.

Hahah our sarcasm gets the best of us sometimes. We absolutely LOVE RB12 CS! Woodman's *should* have the Driftless Glen CS you're looking for. We love the Old Fo lineup as well, and would recommend either the 1910 (toasted barrel expression with roasted marshmallow notes) or the 1920 (higher proof with copious flavor that drinks under its proof.

@@BondingOverBourbon Hehehehe. The Onalaska Woodman's was sold out of their Driftless Glen cask strength pick. They still had their 96 proof rye store pick though. I missed their Smoke Wagon store pick as well. I will pick up that Glenfiddich 14 there though, best overall prices in the area. Thanks for the heads up, I'll think about the 1910 and 1920. I'm hoping the OF 100 proof is similar to their previous black top Early Times Bonded.

The Dowling is super delicious. To me (Chris) it tastes like wild berry pop-tarts with a slightly tobacco'd finish. Never picked up the Jeppson's port, but we know a few places to find it. Is it worth it?

Really enjoy the content you guys are putting out! If I may, can I make a suggestion? The background track is too loud and distracts while you are talking. It’s also just the same note over and over again and gets a bit annoying. Definitely needed for a hunt video, but for these consider taking it out all together

This is really great feedback. It's been challenging to find the right balance for quality between the editing process, on YT mobile, and on the TV app, because they each have different sound levels. I'll mess around with the settings for our next video and will make adjustments. Thanks!
