Coach what about defending pick and roll , Philippines is getting a hard time against korea because of their superb pick and roll game.

on ball defender fights over screen, while the screeners defender takes a step out with hand up (Thats the hedger). Once the player fights over the hedging player returns to the original screener, if the screener rolls to the basket the hedging player has to stick with him

In your perspective coach, can Junmar Fajardo make it to the NBA if he given a chance to do so? Because in international games , he does not have a lot of opportunities with the ball but when he do so he can comply with the needs of the team. Can he make it to NBA with his play style and skill set?

June Mar is a great player but he is a traditional center. This isn't a bad thing but when it comes to the NBA they are wanting players who can shoot 3s. I dont think June Mar hits many 3s. However, if he was to be able to shoot 35+% from 3 I think he could have a chance, there is also age to consider and foot speed. I think if he was in his early-mid 20s he could be a fantastic back up Center in the NBA (due to speed) and could possibly make his way as a starter ... But I think he has created a great spot for himself in the PBA. Personally If I were him I would stay in the PBA and become a legend in the country, If the NBA gave a large enough 2-3 year contract I would take it and then return to the PBA and become an even bigger legend while teaching the younger players what its like in the NBA. ... But I dont think the NBA is a good choice considering how dominant he is in the PBA, he can become a legend for sure

When I was younger after high school and before college I trained 1 summer along side a PBA player at my local YMCA because his parents moved here and he wanted to stay the summer with them. I was the closest competition to him so we got along really well. Worked out and trained together. I never learned his real name because we called him crazy hands. The guy was 5'10 and could crossover the ball wide only dribbling 3-4 inches off the ground. The dude was crazy, he also had a stupid fast shot nobody could block (He taught me how to shoot the ball fast and its to do with your wrist and releasing the ball before full extension) Which is something I do a lot now lol If you have an idea who this player could be let me know I would love to find some highlights. (this was around 11-12 years ago >>>>>> But onto the question, I think the PBA is underrated and has a lot of very very good players, especially as I trained with one for 2 months I can see how great the league was.

@@bballcoachallen Sorry coach. Do not know any pba players of 11 years ago. That of 5'10 in height. I don't get to watch a lot and if any. Not at all. You see I'm in Australia. I'm in the city that Ball played for. I don't follow pba players. That I should. Been here for over 3 decades. As for pba players not making nba league? Maybe they're just not sought after by nba scouts. I don't know exactly what else if many pba players are talented enough, then why not sign a few. However I'm "gonna take a quick stab in the dark". That is. It could be because filipino-asians and many Asians in general. Aren't very appealing and favoured enough over in the states. By audiences that are predominantly "blacks and whites" of American society and culture. Europeans are appealing. Since the league is made up of predominantly blacks and whites european and/or American. Including other minorities of other nations not considered white. By other white's standard. Perhaps there aren't any market for Filipinos made. Despite the fact there are those Filipinos that can really ball and are potentially talented to make the NBA. Its sad but I do have this belief. Asians are just not cool, hip and appealing enough to the crowd. They just don't fit in the mould of the NBA culture and society.

June Mar is 31 and as a Center with his size you start slowing down after 30. However he has taken it to many international teams who have faster centers throughout his career. Speed isn't everything if your an old school low post player. Footwork and knowing angles will get you everywhere. The NBA has gotten away from old school centers as of late for the 3 point game so I wouldn't expect him to make it to the NBA. However, still a super valuable player especially since he has 6 straight PBA MVP's
