Because you double the bracket. It is multiplied by itself so the brackets have to be exactly the same

Kevin I think on Question 2.2.2 you were calculating the general term for all the terms in the arithmetic pattern instead of the odd Because you said : Tn = x + ( n - 1) (x) in the original pattern the difference is x But in the odd term pattern the difference is 2x So I think the pattern should have been Tn = (x) + ( n - 1) ( 2x) Correct me if I'm wrong please.
