Gardening is so much work but like you I love the results. I'd happily never weed again though and the worst of the summer I hate it with the heat of a thousand suns because I do not enjoy hot weather. BUT it gives me so much joy that I do the crap bits to get the good bits! I hope to have a potting shed/greenhouse next year and look forward to what that will add to the experience. I love having a rainy day which is actually a permission slip not to work outside!

Re make-up have you looked or seen, Jones road products, made by Bobbi brown but so much cleaner and better! Bit pricey atm as it's shipped from US but I'm sure it won't be long till some department store stocks it. Some of the products sell out fairly quickly. Your looking so well xx

Doesn't a bit of makeup make you feel good. I put it on everyday, couldn't not. I use every bit of powders as well or scoop lipstick out of bottom of container and add to a small container and brush on. Not because I'm mean(or maybe I am) but love the product and you can guarantee you can"t get the same one again!! Loved the roses in your room they looked superb.

The bread looked so lovely! Are the used make up containers recyclable?
@talesfromcuckooland2 жыл бұрын
Yes they have places in our supermarkets specifically for recycling beauty products. As I replace stuff I’ll be seeking out chemical free, eco products in sustainable packaging. I think good concealers and mascara is going to be problematic though.
@thecraftydawn2 жыл бұрын
@@talesfromcuckooland I don't wear make up, too many allergies, but it does seem to be packaged in a lot of plastic. Sadly, I have not seen a make up recycling container in my area. I do hope you are able to find a good concealer and mascara.

What stamps? I’m so sorry Tina but when you watch old videos I cannot remember what I was doing. I need more details. I have a whole box of ink stamps and without rewatching I won’t know which one I used. I doubt there’s a link, I haven’t bought stamps in eons and eons. I learned a great tip for doing squats. I was told to imagine you’re trying to sit on a chair that’s a bit too far behind you. You have to reach with your bum to get to it. I guess it helps keep your knees in a better position.

Hubby and I have an app on our phones to check the ingredients of soap, shampoo, deodorant and so on in the shops. You just scan the barcode and the app will tell you about hormones or critical chemicals, it’s brilliant. If there is an product that is not found you can send them a photo and if there is some critical stuff in an product they provide you with the contact of that brand so that you can reach out to them. luxuries and expensive products are often the badest ones! It’s so sad to read which impact these things have when it comes to cancer or infertility, not to speak about mother nature. I am making a lot of oils for my face or handcreme and so on myself these days, it works really well. My cosmetic brand is Lavera, a German natural brand and I am not dying my hair for years now Thanks for vlogging, Gayna, it was a pleasure to drink my morning coffee with you 😘 PS: we all look different than in our twenties ;) you are beautiful!

thank you for the vlog, very enjoyable as usual. i just wanted to comment, in the interest of fairness, that at the beginning you said, somewhat in disbelief, that women are subjected to 'something like 700 chemicals that our body doesn't know what to do with, through all our beauty products'... when actually, We subject Ourselves to these chemicals, by *choosing* products with harmful chemicals - quite a bit of a difference, yes? that companies are still using these harmful chemicals is another matter entirely, but we do - still! - have choice! sorry if this sounds niggly, but it hit a nerve with me - obvo...thanks again for the vlog.
@talesfromcuckooland2 жыл бұрын
I didn’t phrase it the way I meant. I meant “often unknowingly”. I didn’t know until recently and so I am making changes. I didn’t realise it was so many different chemicals, that’s where the disbelief would have come in. Now that I know I do have the choice. I hope that my brief comment may have made some others stop and think when they slather on their bodies.
