ARMY made the guess he was going to do a surprise performance there, so they started waiting early at the venue. People were only given official confirmation 30 mins prior to his performance! There were already thousands of people there waiting!

I think that you would enjoy his live with band performance at iheart radio or live at Times square - though the times square has no band, sound isn't quite as good, choreo heavy and outside. He kills it everywhere, every time but also hits hard vocally live! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

The set, according to the director, is drawn from the 1996 Romeo and Juliet movie with Leonardo DiCaprio. This song was an homage to MJ, intentionally. MJ has had a lot of influence on Jungkook through the years.

@BEL Development, actually I don’t really think it’s a kabuki theater with a curtain pull going behind it , it was shot in the country of Budapest ,Hungary in an abandoned warehouse as well as a abandon Theater ! To me it gives me more of Romeo and Juliet vibes if you remember of the Claire Dane and Leonardo DiCaprio -Romeo and Juliet movie by Baz Lurhmann i’ve seen the 1996 movie about a dozen times and that whole backdrop is completely like the Romeo and Juliet scene. Actress/model she is the one that is the protagonist /love interest she is Hungarian/Ukrainian very famous model. That’s what I get from this whole aesthetic of course he’s paying homage to Michael Jackson he is a big fan of Michael Jackson and also I want to report to you that the “standing next to you “ teaser remix with Usher-is out now ! Will be out the music video is at 12 midnight Eastern standard time , it will be different time zones of course but this is in my neck of the woods so this is the only one that I know of! Saw the teaser and it’s absolutely top-tier and this is the last thing that JK is going to drop because he’s in the military now every single member of BTS are enlisted in the military and serving!💜
