FACTSSS!!! She’s so funny and has god tier singing abilities and dance abilities are actually so good but unfortunately only international fans see these things bc k-netizens are known to support those who fit the Korean beauty standards more. I’m not saying she’s not beautiful because she is in my eyes but not all knetizens will understand that :( according to them visuals> talent. Just look at Kendall from Vcha and how JYP chose her over Gina who was clearly was more skilled dancing and singing wise except when it came to “emotions” but a years worth of training would be able to improve that. However being blessed w a talent is not something you can just achieve by practicing.

I think with Wheein it’s definitely a case of IYKYK (if you know you know). Same with Mamamoo. Sometimes they fly under the radar a bit, but anyone who’s paying attention knows how great Wheein is, and knows how great Mamamoo is. In a way, as long as they are happy and successful, I almost prefer it that way, because with greater public visibility sometimes comes greater vulnerability to online hate.

the reasons are simple. 1) small record label for her solo(2 mini albums and 1 full album = 0 nominations for awards as soloist) 2) she don't do this in her solo, and it does play role

wtf are y'all talking about? in both RBW and TL her promotion and marketing was very good. she went to every big show like Inkigayo, KBS, M2, etc, on Sketchbook she did a 20+ minute performance for Whee, she did several fan meetings, birthday meetings, special MV clips, she sung 2 songs in the live with the band, she went to several radio stations, 1TheK youtube channel uploaded teasers and perofmance videos for title tracks, etc. she even made songs in collaboration with Sketchbook. in the MV of Illela there's a WHEE easter egg. what more do you want? the reason she "don't gets the recognition she deserves" is that she's not making songs that appeal to the masses. if you want to know what the masses want look what is popular. there are so many option that if you don't give to the masses what they want they will find someone that does.
