Somehow I don't get this comment about Hyeyoon being lucky with SF9 members. Rowoon and Jae Wok are lucky they had Hyeyoon as female lead in their first main roles in a drama. The drama was single handedly made possible and good by hyeyoon herself.

Gosh, this is why it's hard not to get resentful of idol actors just getting lead roles out of nowhere. There are really good ones (Rowoon is good and Chani was an actor before anything else) but a lot of them are just there for the draw. For every idol actor, there are ten actors out there who make do with bit roles to gain experience, climbing the ladder so slowly, auditioning for that big break only to have it just be handed to someone who's popular for something else. I'm so glad Hyeyoon got her big break with SKY castle, she's a true actress who has become skilled at such a young age and deserves it so much.

Sadly, i have to agree. I love both Kpop and Kdrama but i never watched my idols's acting project if their acting is not good enough. But it's not their fault if they got chosen out of those talented actors/actresses. Just like everyone else, they wanted to challenge themselves. And just like you said, some of idol actors are really good. So far i really like IU's, Apink Eunji's and Krystal's acting when it comes to female idol. When it comes to male idols i like BTOB Sungjae, EXO D.O and Chani. Rowoon, Ong Seongwoo, Suzy and Yoona will soon be in my list, too.

True. But we cant really blame the idol, some director choose fame and insurance rather than real talent, that's why idol or big name get casted with roles while talented actors and actresses with no fame take so long to hit it big... SKY castle is an example of a project led by director that actually care for talent, the rating was low because it has no well known acor/actress then it jump up as the higest ratted drama surprassing Goblin

When I watched Sky Castle, of course I thought she was an amazing actress and she def shined through, but at the same time, there were a lot more veteran adult actors and actresses and so it's not like the focus was just on her and her acting. There was a lot in that drama - amazing characters, interesting plot, and good acting. In Extraordinary You, at least for me, I got to focus more on Hye Yoon, and I could see the difference in acting between Hyeyoon and the rest of the cast. You could see all the different emotions, and I think with Extraordinary You's storyline, viewers could get confused on whether characters are following their "lines" or being themself, but Hye Yoon separates those two forms of herself and makes it clear. Love her and look forward to her next work which I think is Snowdrop. Excited and I hope...really hope... no fan wars please...
