JK is a wonder! SNTY allows JK to shine showcasing his exceptional singing, dancing and acting. What can't that guy do? Oh and thanks for giving us that cute 'moment' to just look..haha.

I appreciate your take down on this amazing song, you're spot on. I'm a big fan of the funky disco music and when I saw this JK's MV I was hooked. OMG!!! I literally thought that MJ's spirit came down on JK because his voice sounded exactly like MJ, especially on the beginning of the song, and the mooooves, what??? Total and blissful perfecion. I was like YES!!!! this is soooo.... damn good. Music like this will stand the test of time. ARMY has definitely grew double in size, heck yeah. LOVE you JK

Thank you for watching and commenting! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the video! 💖 Right?! That funk disco sound suits him so well, it's insane! It truly did feel like MJ's spirit was present for this project. He would be so extremely proud of not only JK, but everyone in K-Pop who is killing it right now. This song is phenomenal, and I'm so happy that it's doing well and bringing back the funk!! 🕺🪩

Very interesting comments and insights! That said, there's one thing I will push back on: there's nothing "Kpop" about this song or video. BTS transcended Kpop years ago, and JK is aiming to create nothing less than world-class pop now. JK and his team succeeded in making one of this year's top pop songs and one of the top videos in the world. Period. (There is nothing significant about the tunnel, especially since they are popular across different musicians, genres, countries, and time periods.)

Excellent Reaction! I was almost on the same page as you. The "Burn This Disco Out" trumpets was what I could not get my mind to register.and recall. I also got the flutes from Boz Scaggs' "Dirty Low Down"m Bass lines from The Sugar Hill Gang's "Rapper's Delight, and Kurtis Blow's "These Are The Breaks" and some rhythm from the Chic dance music era such as "I Want Your Love".BTW, did the limo drivers fight scene make you think of MJ's "Beat It" and "Bad" videos? You are a reaction BOSS! Peace and Prosperity 2U.

Oh correct me if I'm wrong but the director Baz Luhrmann, who directed , co-wrote the movie Romeo And Juliet directed this MV too.
@k-popforbreakfast3832 Жыл бұрын
'Standing Next To You' was directed by Ukrainian filmmaker Tanu Muino, and she did a phenomenal job! But I would be very intrigued to see what Baz Luhrmann could create for K-Pop artists!! That would be a dream come true for sure. After researching Tana's work after this video, it is in her bio that she is actually highly inspired by Baz Lurhmann's Romeo + Juliet, which absolutely BLEW MY MIND. I thought maybe it was just me seeing things, but apparently, the influence is truly there! Love it so much. ❤️

No idea about Kpop I only stan BTS not kpop. BTW that's no set it's a real place an abandoned Power Planet in Europe. Standing next to you give's me 80's British band feels. As a Brit that went through the 80's this just sums up my 20's and all the British band's went to see live eg Deacon Blue, Spandau Ballet, The Communards, ABC and LightHouse Family. The use of band members playing real brass instruments along with heavy bass and Drums and keyboards. Dancing the night away in Nightclubs in amazing rather expensive dresses and high stilto healed shoes. There's lots of flavours and it's what I love when I'm not listening or going to Rock and Heavy Metal Concerts.

Jungkook choose what songs he wanted for his album the only one I don't like is the the colab with JH uggh just not me cup of tea, I don't really like the man. However if JK want to colab with him I defend his right to make that decision I just skip that track on the album.
