WOW great footage of Native Tongue the greatest hip hop crew of all time - it was so exciting back then. shit just seems so corny these days - well the pop shit anyway. Can't front on the Roots or Tyler or J. That shit is really good

In 1990 I was protesting for an intercultural center at my majority Jewish University (Brandeis). Like Jarobi and Ali Shaheed were saying we all felt a drive to be more Afrocentric.

Too bad this reggae version of segundo is not released
@chj213 жыл бұрын
@Blballerboy Maybe so, but I have my doubts about it, especially from a pretty reliable review I read about Beats, Rhymes, and Life. The basic point of the review I read stated that what was glossed over in B, R, & L was the POLITICAL (hint, hint) origins behind the creation of ATCQ. Also, key things like the line, "Industry Rule 4,080/Record company people are shady". How can you NOT bring that up in a documentary purporting to be about ATCQ???
i felt a bit miscommunication between the interviewer and JB/Tribe - perhaps a bit a ignorance from both side - hip hop until 1990 was just in its teenage years...

2019 and you can’t find a young HipHop mind that cares about having Afrocentric ideas in their music. 🤦🏾♂️

XIAONAN QI did you ever see them live?
@jamescolalillo14568 жыл бұрын
+XIAONAN QI I saw the Jungle Brother's live last April (In Amsterdam Ironically) and it was hands down one of the best concerts i've ever been to. Yet again that may be due to the fact, that at that point, they had been touring over 25 years since this was released.
