Shere Khan goes on a vendetta against man and breaks the law even turns his back on his friends, Kaa turns on the others after he perfected his hypnotic spell, but Hathi, Bagheera, Louie and Baloo are still friends (If Louie and Baloo are friends in Tale Spin)

Admit it guys Baloo was adorable when he was little And also isn’t it kind of weird that all those characters were friends at some point with you knowing that some day they would grow apart and begin to hate each other or don’t talk much anymore if you go watch the original movie after watching this series.

Only baloo and baggy are still talking. And mid scene Kaa and Khan still talk but the snake is scared of the tiger since there both carnivores, Hathi is allied to both Baloo and Baggy some what being friends. Louie not sure since he is a human wannabe ape

I guess "Disney-wise", this is definitely canon in the Disney Universe since they own these new personalities that the book didn't (Baloo was actually very VERY wise, an old experienced bear that was respected by the wolf pack, Bagheera was born in a cage and escaped, Kaa was an old but strong ally, etc). But in the perspective of the OG book by Rudyard Kipling, this is very unlikely since this and that are on a whole different spectrum despite being the same...universe?

It was likely easier to stay friends when they may still have had some innocence. The older they got the more the “law of the jungle” and their own natures took over, and just like how adults become more involved with their own lives and have less free time. They also all had their own views that changed over time and others might not have agreed with, like Shere Khan being bent on revenge against man.
