Shere Khan is definitely one of the better Disney villains, quite underrated in fact. He isn't even in the majority of the movie but the way he is feared by the other characters builds up this great suspense that hypes him up.

There’s (the late) Tony Jays voice as Frollo (whereas he voiced Shere Khan in the 2003 jungle book sequel).

George Sanders was absolutely perfect for Shere Khan. That deep smooth voice of his brought so much malice, intimidation, and elegance to the character. RIP Mr. Sanders. 1906 - 1972 Apparently the animators even drew some of George's facial features into Shere Khan's face. 🐅

Shere Khan could actually be friends with Tai Lung, they both are big cats except Tai Lung is a snow leopard and Shere is a bengal tiger, they both have amber/yellow eyes, they have 2 names, they both have black claws, and they have name meanings that match them. (Tai Lung is a broken antagonist from Kung Fu Panda) I forgot to mention that they both have black eyebrows and Khan's giggle at 1:00 is similar to Tai Lung's giggle before asking Shifu "Did I Scare Him Off?"

There is an list of all the potential actors Disney consider for Shere Khan some actors who were considered where Hans Conried (the voice of Captain Hook) Vincent Price (the voice of Professor Ratingan) Don Rickels (the voice of MR Patatohead) Don Adams ( very weird choice i mean i love his role as Inspector Gadget his hillarous voice is not fiting for an Bond like villain 😆) and future more you have Boris Karloff Basil Rathbone Neville Brand and Paul stewart And their are some more but these actors are the the ones i know (😅Not personaly of course but i mean i know plenty of their work)

Shere Khan was smart in the first movie and he had the sense of honor. In the sequel, he became irrationnal because of his obsession of getting revenge on Mowgli, and dumb. Shere Khan to Mowgli (in the sequel) : Surely you do réalise that i simply can't let you live ? Me : That's the dumbest reason for revenge, i had ever Heard, from Shere Khan. Me to Shere Khan : you've grown slow, dumb, and fat in your dot age, Slug. You witless kitty Ian from Open Season : Hello Smell Khan (laugh). I call Smell Khan (laugh)
