As a 90's kid, I did not experience the soul-altering, reality-shattering, vibe-morphing magic of Jungle until this past year. IMO the style is the most captivating sub-genre of D&B. You my friend, have done an incredible job capturing the essence of 90s legends LTJBukem, Peshay, Mouly, etc. and put your own beautiful spin on it. The sounds you use are clean and somehow, they make me FEEL as if I am _in_ a jungle moreso than some of the most popular sounds of the 90s. Keep up the fantastic work! YOUR GREATNESS IS NOTICED.

akin to an out of body experience. the moment before the jolt of the falling dream. of weightlessness; pins and needles through my whole body. i am lost in silent hill. i am all the particles in the universe vibrating at the right frequency to take me to a place where no one but me and my skin can hear the blood thrumming in my ears. this is the part where I forget who I am. I come back to this every time I want to feel it all over again. I feel like nothing. I feel like everything. I am small, up too late, past my bedtime. I lay on my livingroom carpet while the adult swim bumpers are playing and I feel the same way as I do now listening to this.

This is really awesome! That is so 90's man... ;-) I'm learning How to create Jungle but...are those drums all loops chopped or did you create from zero all the groove? (hihat, snares etc...) Usually which is the best way to make drum patters? Cheers! ;-)
@neuralfold2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Tbh the important thing to keep in mind with drum and bass and jungle is that the drums and bass are the center piece of the music, so treat them like you would a melodic instrument. This is why chopping the break is important to give it a different dynamic during the music, since it's less about keeping a constant rhythmic base and more about playing with different grooves and rhythms.
@eaglechildkeys2 жыл бұрын

If you did a 12" release of "PSIX Room 99" we would Truly(!!!) appreciate this as a part of our collections! Or, even as a perfect first time vinyl album for somebody lucky enough to across it before it sells out! :) I enjoy your new stuff too!, of course, it's positive stuff, & totally nice to take a vacation from the dark side now and again! bahaha - This deserves a physical release! (I've been periodically visiting back to see if it's happened.. but.. no luck yet) You could do it as a double or a part 1 and part 2, so you can fit all the tracks in the best quality (especially for the low end and thus, sound systems - more record space per tune = better low end translation on to vinyl) or maybe just a single vinyl with a good of mix of tracks chosen, if money is an issue - there's always pre-order, though. But you know a double 12" would only truly do this justice! ;) - as , now I count, there's 17 tracks (4x smaller intermission tracks) = 4 per side(1 side with 5) x 2 12"plates The other options would be a Digipack CD or a Jewel Case Cd (Pizza Hotline did one that was like a PS1 game, with a plastic jewel case and a black-backed CD that looks just like a PS1 game. It's pretty nifty! :) (personally I too prefer the plastic CD "Jewel" cases and proper disks, as the Digipack ones are sort of cheap in terms of the disks being a-like to the CD-rewritable disks but with disk and album artwork which make them pretty nice(..enough). But of course, they are still fine, I do have a few Digipak albums from artists like you on Bandcamp and they are as general high quality as any CD, audio wise (tested on systems, sound great). & then, the other option of a Cassette release - keeping in mind it would have to be mastered again to maximize and balance the quality for the sound/frequency responses of tape (likely 'Type 1' tape) Please Please do consider a physical release of PSIX Room 99. Mad Respect whether you do it or not, we'll be listening. Thanks for reading! From an excited listener since 2020, Ford! Junglist hailing from down under -Spring time '24 New Zealand!

Thanks for your comment! I need to look into this in terms of economics and logistics because I can't justify the investment if I can't be sure I'll have a return, and given that I have a daytime job that takes up a lot of my time and energy, I wouldn't be able to handle orders myself in a timely manner. This is mostly the reason why I never looked into physical releases, as music is just something I do for fun on my free time, and handling the business side of it is something that takes some dedication to do well.
